Too much love for The Office and not enough love for My Name Is Earl! There's enough love for both! This was a mighty fine episode and no momentum has been lost from last season!

Hey though, was Catalina even IN this episode?

SO. If Joy is in jail at the end of the episode, does that mean she's missing NEXT episode? Or will it be one of those sitcom reset things?

Please answer these and other questions and also tell me what YOU thought of this show (or the DVD set, if you bought that - I did, it's been okay so far)

Next week: MAN LAW

This episode was all about Joy and that was great. Jaime Pressley deserves the extra attention just like she deserved the Emmy. They say that this year will involve more storylines revolving around the supporting characters and I say bring it on. As for Joy, she won't be in jail because there really doesn't seem to be a definite time line to the show.

No Catalina was a definite negative but a small enough negative to be overlooked. I am sure she will get more than her fair share of screen time in coming weeks.

Haven't bought the Season 1 DVD yet but I hear that "Bad Karma" is worth the purchase price alone.

Any episode that revolves around Joy is a must see in my book. As much of an over sight as it was for Rainn Wilson not to get a nod for an Emmy, it was just as wrong for Jamie Pressly not to get a nod either. There has not been one episode that she has been in where I did not laugh at loud whenever she was on. She is the best part of the show. This show reminds me of Seinfeld in that they let the supposrting characters have funnier lines than the star. Randy and Joy are the Kramer and Elaine to Earl's Jerry. Now if they could just give Crab Man more air time, he could be the George.

Great season opener and a perfect handcuff to the Office.

A strip joint's owner (Burt Reynolds) will lend Earl money if he can convince Catalina to return to work there.

I wasn't a fan of Jaime's but now hat she'e on Earl everything she does is hilarious. Especially the accent.

Maybe Joy will be in jail for the season, and will appear when Earl visits her, Crabman gets conjugal visits, etc. Or, Earl will have to finagle some way to get her out of prison.

Scene: Mark DeRosa's brain. The year is 2005.
Part of Mark DeRosa's brain: Come on, another position change? One day it's second base, the next day right field, now it's third? Why, I oughta go into Buck's office and throw his talking fish on the floor!
Other part of Mark DeRosa's brain: Hold on, other part of the brain. We're making $500,000 this year. Last year we made $725,000. All for playing a damn kids' game. This is, as they say in Brainland, a no-"us"-er. We're not going to complain.
Part of Mark DeRosa's brain: You're right, dude. Let's go back to looking at this crazy porn Teixeira gave us!

Randy singing "the Lollipop Kids" was the highlight of the show for me.

I'll be greatly disappointed if Joy isn't in prison for at least three or four episodes. I've gotta think there's a good bit of comedy they could mine from that situation.

She was nominated - Earl's only acting nomination - but lost to that annoying shrew from "Will & Grace".

My bad. I didn;t watch the Emmy's so I only ASSUMED she was not nominated. And we all know what happens when you assume!

The fact that she lost to Megan Mullaly is awful. He character stopped being funny (as did the show itself) a long time ago.

X-E's co-Worst Poster of all time! JKyle.com says:

The mail order bride not liking surprises then fleeing in terror was great.

Randy's hidden graffiti skills also made me laugh.

Not the best episode but definitely up to standards.

Hopefully this season we get around to why Earl stole the car from the one-legged girl.
