Apparently someone noticed the board wasn't locked during the show like it used to be. If you are so hungry to post during Raw your options other than here are A: CHAT or B: http://www.betweentheropes.com/messageboard as they keep an active post any ways to report.

UNLIMITED: Lillian singing the National Anthem w/ USA chants...Ladies and Gentleman welcome Good O'll JR Jim Ross. Out next Jerry "The King" Lawler.

It's TIME TO WAKE UP! We're LIVE from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma/Seattle, WA

OPENING: We are reminded that today is a National Holiday in the USA. Memorial day and we should remember our roots and we kicked A$$ for what we have in this country.

Vince is out as we're told Triple H is going to try to "Kill Kenny". We also have a face to face confrontation between Heyman and Foley. Vince ranting and tells everybody to shut up. The a sacastic speech to HBK about getting better. A review of HHH stepping in between Kenny and HBK with the sledge hammer. Vince likes Kenny..."phenominal" 20 year old Kenny. Jonathan Coachman is the "Executive Assisant" and I'm guessing that's slightly higher than the old term of "Commishoner" as Coach is telling us what other matches are on the show tonight. Shelton vs Kane IC title match and Edge vs Big Show in a number #1 contender match. BOOM Kane is out for the IC title match. Shelton gets the taste slapped out of his mouth to start the match. Kane taking it to Shelton and throws him to the outside as the *AD BREAK* runs in!

UNLIMITED: Shelton rams Kane into the ring post and hit another move taking both of them down. Shelton roles in to break the count. The action is back in the ring as Unlimited cut off.

We're Back: Shelton working Kane in a chin lock and Kane get out and does the sit up to start working over Shelton. Clothesline in the corner and a side walk slam by Kane. To the top the CLOTHESLINE. Chokeslam to COUNTER into pin. Shelton continues to counter as gets out to tombstone. Chokeslame to hell from the corner and the video clips of it never ends comes on and the original Kane music starts playing and cuts to the entrance ramp where KANE with a mask and old Kane gear comes out. I'm freaked out and confused and why do I feel like I just had a flashback to 1994? *AD BREAK*

UNLIMITED: The Kane we know gets up after his Chokeslam and makes that hazy walk back to up the ramp.

We're Back: Replay of what just happened...Old music...Masked Kane staring at each other and Chokeslam to Hell. I'm speachless too. Carlito and Coach talking about where HHH is. Runs into Estrada and Coach says he's got to run as Big Vis catches up to Estrada and puts him to the wall and tell him he seeks revenge. "Spiri Jack Match" as Vince says. HHH is doing the world a favor by attempt to finally get rid of the Spirit Squad. *AD BREAK*

UNLIMITED: Trivia two out of three fans are smart there. Great I also got two out of three which was a strike out last week.

We're Back: Big Vis is out for his match against UMAGA! Sneak attack by Umaga that lays out the big man. This match is still isn't official. A big splash and the Samoan Spike by Umaga for the win. A TWO MOVE MATCH LADIES AND GENTLEMAN. If you don't count the sneak attack it was three but the "Wild Samoan" is alive and well in Umaga. Lillian playing up the consern for her man. Now another preview of See No Evil if you haven't seen it yet. I haven't but my brother has and for 8 million dollars they couldn't hide the sound boon very well. Wow, I agree with King I see a a major women face stable in those three. The Hot Blonds or something with a catch to it. *AD BREAK*

UNLIMITED: It's time for the class room of Matt Striker. Describing Memorial day with a history lesson. Telling the crowd of famous crimanals from the area. A heel with a positive message.

We're Back: The three Blonds are out for the tag team match. Victoria and Candice with Micky out for the match. Beth and Victoria start it out. Beth lands the side walk slam. Double chop by Torrie and Beth. Clothesline in the corner by Torrie and the "STINKFACE" Torrie and the King "wants one". Candice lands a splash from the second rope on Torrie then an Elbow with a pin attempt. Victoria misses the rolling legdrop, over the top rope, by Victoria. Hot tag to Beth and it leads to a Michnoku Driver type move to pin Candice. How about "Blond Have More Fun" no? Ok...the *AD BREAK* shows up.

UNLIMITED: Jerry Lawler badmouthing ECW and telling people it's coming back full time on the "Sci-Fi" channel and explains he was there once it was like being on another planet with the "charater" he had and Heyman was the leader. The Sandman.

We're Back: Memorial Day reminder. Now back to Lawler he's still ranting or ragging on ECW. Wantabe's? RVD is out for commentary. Out comes Johnny Nitro a guy John Cena hasn't faced. Now Cena is out. Johnny hits a springboard drop kick. Then spin around leg drop. Johnny Nitro taking it to Cena. Elbow in the corner and the fans are behind Cena here. Johnny working elbows into his back. Cena fights back, fists, clotheslines, Spinbomb, and Five nuckle shuffle, FU, and the STFU. Nitro taps! Cena walks out of this Raw with the win. They stare at each other and RVD up to the ring appron. Nitro wipes out RVD and Cena makes his way to the back. *AD BREAK*

UNLIMITED: RVD leaves the arena and the ring crew sets up the red carpet for the next segment where Heyman and Foley faceoff. What the screwballs they have podiums...good grief.

We're Back: Any ways, Mick Foley walks with the Hardcore title over his shoulder. Is that official? Is he the ECW/Hardcore Champion? I think that's what is going to happen. That's why we see that belt back. Cheap pop by Foley. Foley saying Vince is a "Billion dollar pimp." Heyman on the biting back with Foley being a FUNK ripoff. Whoa, a drunk, drug addict, a criminal, or a corpse. Nice by Foley. So Heyman picked RVD who loved ECW and the guy that was going to orinially be in ECW Kurt Angle from Smackdown. Great...what does Smackdown have anymore? We're going to have the WWE and ECW. I think Smackdown might have seen it become the C Show. *AD BREAK*

UNLIMITED: Signs of the night. Lillian kisses the guy.

We're Back: Show out to face EDGE for the number one contendership. Prediction...hmm...EDGE! I'm spoiling it now because it almost obvious. Edge is out with Lita. They start the match and Edge working show in the corner until Show gets the upper hand. Now show doing the shuu Chop in the corner. Big Show catches Edge and gives him the corner face drop. Edge getting in the ring drops show over the rope to attempt a top rope manuver but Show counters and send Edge flying. Show charging Edge in the corner. Ref bump, balls shot, steel chair, spear. Edge is the number on Contender after ECW One Night Stand. More stuff from See No Evil which I haven't seen. *AD BREAK

UNLIMITED: Maria is out for the Kiss Cam. I still miss the old music. Dear God someone had a sign ready for it. She's my Sister. Whoa that was funny.

We're Back: Smackdown Rebound...they pull the trigger for Lashley being the US Champion. So JBL is gone from Smackdown too? Ok WHO's LEFT? HHH and Vince meet in the back on the match. Vince takes SLEDGLY away from HHH. He's doesn't like SLEDGLY being taken away. *AD BREAK*

UMLIMITED: Spirit Squad out for there match against HHH. There are only 4 members in the ring...hmmm. I guess there saving Kenny for TV...ok I don't know why.

We're Back: Kenny gets his own cheertacular entrance. As Lillian says its a "Spirit Jack Match" I feel so wrong typing that. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GGGGGGGGGAAAMMMEEE! HHH is out to destory the Squad for us. THANK YOU HHH! Please kill them...PLEASE! :-D Kenny gets a to hang HHH over the top rope. Kenny working in punches against HHH and he reverses it to the knee lift. He start taking it to other members and sends Kenny to the outside, a crowd shot shows guy with DX shirt on and the *AD BREAK* runs in.

UNLIMITED: Suplex on Kenny by HHH and the crotch chop before he delivers the knee to a HUGE pop. Chant of DX as HHH delivers a Backbreaker to Kenny. Elbow drop to Kenny's back. Kenny trying to fight back as the final unlimited segment cuts.

We're Back: They team HHH in the corner and HHH still kicks out after all abuse. They beat HHH outside and still counters Kenny superkick into a DDT. Boot to the face of Kenny. Squad pull down HHH to the post. Kenny covers and HHH kicks out. They're working HHH knee. Another near fall for Kenny. As they it agony on HHH knee continues. Kenny hung on the top rope after a botched "mugging" attempt. HHH clubbing Kenny in the corner after a comeback. Arn Anderson type Spinbuster. PEDIGREE! 1...2....3! Game wins! Short victory for HHH. Into the ring runs the Squad. The announce table has become the beating place for HHH. HHH grabs Sledgy and the Squad freeze. Vince is out...at six minutes after 11 so our overrun is a bit. HHH to join to Kiss my Ass club where the fuck is "The Rock" to shut this club again? Fade to black and Logo.

Well, interesting night. I don't think it was good as last week but I don't feel like I was cheated or anything. You all?

I think its safe to say RAW previews on wwe.com are completely meaningless now. Every time, Vince just changes shit around to the point of making any preview completely pointless. Its like Vince is pulling one of those bait and switches that the scummy wrestling sites advertise with (D-X RETURN CONFIRMED FOR TONIGHTS RAW! FIND OUT WHO WILL JOIN! JBL GONE FROM WWE? All the Umaga match did was remind me that Mohammad Hassan had a wicked WMD finisher. This was a massive "eh" show, and the WWE is nuts to again try two PPVs in one month, bookending the relaunch of ECW. They have too much to sell, too much to cover.

I love the Spirit Squad as an idea, but now it's become Kenny and The Rest, and Kenny, despite what JR may say, isn't showing me enough to warrant all these main-event matches.

Anyone get the feeling that Cena might be in the new DX? Triple H's match seemed to underscore just how old he is compared to this mob of kids, and Cena would add some young blood to the aging DX duo. Of course, this will go down like Sting in the Horsemen, but it'll be fun for a while.

Matter of fact...didn't Cena beat Nitro when he was feuding with Bischoff and Jericho?

Cena in DX would be horrible. They're already treating him as an afterthought on the show, they don't need to have him play third fiddle behind HHH & HBK to really rub it in.

Nah, MNM was in full swing by that point. Nitro was on RAW back in early-to-mid 2004. The only real match he had was against Eugene, though that might be close enough.

EDIT: By the way, I know it was X-Pac's nickname for him for a while, but is Kane supposed to be retarded? What about the announcers? Some guy comes out of the back wearing his old outfit and mask and the logical assumption is that it's an enigmatic doppelganger from his past? I know wrestling is all about suspending your disbelief, but it what parallel universe is that a logical train of thought?

Oh, and Smackdown is pretty much fucked at this point. They need Batista and, *sigh*, Randy Orton back as soon as humanly possible.

Unless Angle is a spy for WWE, They should do a drug test on whoever thought his joining was ECW a good idea. How long can Kurt physically hold up with that style of wrestling?

And I could be wrong, but didn't MNM wrestle on Raw during the Eddie Tribute in a Champs vs. Champs match??

EDIT: (from ekedolphin's Raw Recap of the Eddie Tribute)

Big Show and especially Kane are looking at MNM like they’re nuts, by the way. Nitro starts off with Big Show, circles through the ring but tries to stay away from Kane at the same time. No dice—Big Show grabs him, hits the “Shh!” chop, another one, Kane gets a corner big boot and is tagged in. He has a little fun cleaning out MNM himself, with clotheslines on both, and after a sidewalk slam Kane tries the flying clothesline, but Mercury off the top rope to the floor. While Big Show cleans out Mercury, Nitro hits Kane with the title belt, rolls him in, gets two. Neckbreaker by Nitro, tag to Mercury, off the second turnbuckle with a sledge. A tag back to Nitro for a double-team kick, and Mercury continues the assault. Nitro knocks Big Show off the apron, Kane tries the double chokeslam, but MNM says uh-uh. They get double-suplexed anyway; Show gets tagged in, hits a corner splash on both men, double-clothesline, and he calls for the chokeslam. Melina jumps on the ring apron, tries to slap Big Show, but Big Show kisses her instead. Mercury’s hit with a flying clothesline, and Nitro gets chokeslammed by both Show and Kane at the same time. Three-count, and the tag-team champions of RAW have defeated those of SmackDown.

-------------------------------------
So Nitro is pretty much a Raw veteran by now.

Well, it's not like this is the first time we've seen this. Heck, it's basically a staple of wrestling by this point. I think with Kane and the Undertaker (and what the heck, let's throw the Boogeyman on there too) you have to throw any common sense out the window.

When I saw it, I thought how fitting it was that Kane, who earlier in his career had played Fake Diesel, now had a Fake Kane to deal with.

In the real world, WWE believes that no matter what our race, religious creed or ethnic background in America, we all share the common bond of being Americans. American-Arabs are a part of the fabric of America, and they should be embraced by all of us.

Why do I get the feeling that this Kane II thing is going to throw out the supposed "definitive history" that Journey Into Darkness established?

Anyone remember the Spider-Clone storyline from the mid 90's Marvel Comics? Perhaps we've been seeing a "fake Kane" since he came back with the half-mask (the night of the godawful "Kane-eroonie").

...although judging by that hair, maybe it's Brian May trying to start up a pro wrestling career.

No new GM sucks (though I'd rather have NO figureheads at all), but Coach as a lackey could be fun....I gotta admit, I marked out for the 2nd Kane. I did NOT expect that....I can dig the Vis-Umaga mini-feud....not much heat for Beth's hot tag. The match itself was quite passable....Lawler's anti-ECW promo seemed out of place, other than to bring RVD out....

I'm debating on whther or not they should've debuted Nitro now or saved it for a surprise down the line. His match with Cena was good, if too short. Nitro was very impressive....Smackdown did NOT need to lose Angle. He'll be tough to replace, especially with the injuries and other stuff on that side. The debate didn't drag on too long, and at least they put Dreamer and Funk over....Edge/Big Show wasn't so good, but I can't argue with the result....Trips/Kenny was energetic.

More than anything, I'm just curious to find out who was portraying "Fake Kane" and if we should be worried about the likely PPV match. Also, I would've paid Jim Ross good money to scream out "DEAR GOD, IT'S LEGENDS KANE FROM SMACKDOWN vs. RAW 2005!"

RAW for me this week was a big, big drop. I think a lot of it is that the three notable reactions I had to the show were "what a rip-off" (Vince announcing there was no new GM and instead appointing Coach as his EA), "this is going somewhere I don't like" (when Kane's old music played and vindicated when Legends Kane made his TV debut), and "Smackdown is screwed" (when Heyman announced he was drafting Angle).

As for that last one...I had that reaction at first, but maybe it won't be all that bad. I mean yeah, knee-jerk reaction is that Smackdown really needs Angle, but with the number of injuries they already have, there really isn't all THAT much for him to do on the brand. Besides, a heel Kurt eventually rebelling against a promotion he's forced to work for and whose values he despises could be a lot of fun. That is, if they were to go in that direction.

I'm guessing that Angle's drafting is a sign that ECW is going to focus as much on actual wrestling as they are on the hardcore aspect. Heyman knows how to book Angle and guys like him (Royal Rumble '03 against Chris Benoit. Come to think of it, Benoit could be next to go.), so I wouldn't be surprised if ECW chooses to go the more athletic, wrestling-oriented route rather than go with sports entertainment.

Unfortunately, this is going to leave Smackdown practically dead in the water. They've got a GREAT Rey/Chavo feud lined up, but unless someone gets pushed to the top quickly, they're in big trouble.

MNM and Cena both wrestled at Judgement Day '05, so that's not entirely true.

Edited to Mention that this show needs another Kane.

I dunno, Angle sure seemed pretty enthused about joining ECW tonight.

Personally, if I can bring myself to ignore the ongoing decimation of Smackdown, I love the idea of Angle in ECW. Remember, Heyman had him tapped for ECW years and years ago, even before he became the awesome Angle we know today. If an unproven Angle was right for ECW, I would certainly think this one is. Can he keep up the ECW style? He's done more shocking things.

You know who I really liked tonight? Johnny Nitro, though doing the clean job to Cena sure isn't how I would have debuted him. Wasn't someone else available for that? When I saw he was debuting against Cena, I thought for sure the match would end in some RVD-related non-finish. Anyway, as much as everyone loved MNM, I think Nitro displayed a certain charisma tonight that he didn't get to show off as half of a tag team, and his wrestling chops really shined through in a solo performance. I might've tweaked his gimmick just a little for a solo run, but I still think good things are in store for him. I hope.

Whoever played throwback Kane did a pretty good job on his mannerisms, but went a little to much on the glove tugging.

It took me a little bit to figure out what looked not quite right with throwback Kane. Then I realized that his hair was too puffy and wild. It needed wetted down.

I love Nitro's entrance to the ring. His appearance on Raw should of been made into a much bigger deal than it was.

I also loved Torrie pulling her shorts up her ass and doing the stinkface. The Diva's should all learn that great move.

When Angle walked out as Heyman's ECW draft pick, my immediate response out of my mouth was "Wow !!!"....then quickly followed by "Huh ???"

Wonder if the writers will actually take the time to explain how Kurt Angle went from absolutely detesting ECW, to seemingly being really hyped to be wrestling there.

Well, it looks like I finally get to see Vince McMahon in person at the Mellon Arena next Monday. I've seen Shane and Steph, but never Vince.

Angle already was a "spy" in the Alliance (WCWECW) vs. WWF (Am I even aloud to write WW-F??) storyline and turned on the Alliance at - I believe - Survivor Series 01!
So another "Spy Angle" situation would be really stupid and boring, but it´s WW-E and you never know....
