I knew they had freefallen, but didn't realize how bad until I heard this morning that they were in first place 33 days ago.

After that, 6-16.

Hey George, look for houses in Chapel Hill.

Oooh, you wound me and my Tar Heel pride with that one. Though I do contest that a better comparison would be Virginia who went from 5th in the nation, to not even ranked in the month before the NCAA tourney. Poor Carolina just sucked all season long, but don't worry. We'll run roughshod over the rest of y'all before too long.

Man, that was such a poor showing by Virginia.

Actually, it was only an indirect shot about how bad UNC was this year.

It was a "Hey, Karl will be unemployed soon. Matt Doughtery could be unemployed next year. What a match made in Tar Heel heaven." comment.

What happened to Karl?

When did he forget how to coach? He was the man up in Seattle - everyone loved him.

He was doing well this year... then?

Is there an impetus for this self-destruction? Cassell is an idiot for guaranteeing victory AT Detroit, but that's only one game.

Is there a timeline for the Bucks self-destruction?

Didn't help the Bucks that Ray Allen picked this year to be the first year for him to have injuries and miss games.....Anthony Mason was a mistake of a pick-up and he helped to destroy team chemistry

There was some NBA expert on the Kornheiser show today (maybe Bob Ryan) who said this is now a pattern with Karl.

Team is good right when he gets there, but then becomes a choking dog.

Remember Seattle losing as a 1 seed to Denver (Motumbo clutching the ball lying on the ground)?

Of course, the Sonics went to the finals two years later, but I suppose ol' Mr. Basketball Bob Ryan doesn't count that.

I'd say this has to hurt worse than '94, though. I don't think the Big og (No D) is long for Milwaukee.

YEAH! The Pacers are in the playoffs, having won their last five games... and the Bucks choked worse than the Knicks in the '95 playoffs against us!

Now can you dig that, sucka?

The main problem with that Bucks team is that no one there knows how to play defense. It's a team of matadors. Ole! Ole!

Sure, they shoot like mothers and that's why they'd have been a dangerous first round opponent for any team, but to be a consistant winner you've got to, you know, play the occasional good defensive game.

And then there's the fact that they have no low post presence. Please don't tell me Mason is one, because he isn't.
