Totally forgot this and I wanted to get it up before the big Wizard World convention this weekend...

Various stuff...
Harmony Gold is doing a new ROBOTECH series! It's called THE SHADOW CHRONICLES and centers around Rick Hunter from the Macross Saga.
Jim Hensos's eighties properties are getting TONS of love! First up is Tokyo Pop's THE DARK CRYSTAL which willbe a prequel to the original film. Next will be LABYRINTH which is a sequel which centers on Toby, the baby from the film, coming back to the Labyrinth to claim is place as king of the goblins. These should be quite cool as long as they're not overly 'anime'.

MARVEL
The oddest thing from the show was hearing Joe Quesada saying there are 'possible' plans to bring back Ben Riley. With the rumors surrounding Topher Grace's role in the third SPIDER-MAN film, this isn't all that surprising though.
My favorite Marvel series from the last two years, SENTINEL, is returning next year. Yippie!!
Steven King will be doing SOMETHING for marvel in the next year.
Joss Whedon is signed on for ASTONISHING X-MEN up to issue #25.
MOON KNIGHT returns next year with a mini series drawn by David Finch.
The Sentry and Nick Fury have books coming next year as well.
The biggest selling point for the X-MEN/BLACK PANTHER crossover seems to be, from Marvel's view anyway, that Storm will be naked in it.
Spider-Man... Invincible? Ok, he's not Invincible... it's a crossover/one shot in MARVEL TEAM-UP #14 written by Robert Kirkman.
Frank Cho will be drawing NEW AVENGEAR #14 and #15 which means Spider-Woman will be exceptionally nice to look at in those two issues. Oh boy!
-- Marvel didn't have a ton of stuff to say at this convention, probably because they're saving stuff for Wizard World coming up this week. -----
DC COMICS
Captain Atom didn't die in SUPERMAN/BATMAN like we thought, It seems he 'quantom leaped' into another universe. The Wildstorm universe actually, where he's getting a miniseries early next year. That's kinda cool actually...
Tom Fontana, who gave us HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREETS and OZ is doing a Batman mini-series. I wonder if Adabisi's gonna be in it? Hmm...
Joey Cavalieri will be writing FLASH for a short arc untill the new ongoing writer is announced, probably at Wizard World this week.
Jeph Loeb's son, who recently passed away, is getting writing credit for SUPERMAN/BATMAN #26.
Mark Waid is doing a new BRAVE AND THE BOLD title which will NOT feature Batman in every issue. He wanted a series where he can write any character he chooses and this gives him that option. It'll be an anthology series like the original BRAVE AND THE BOLD with some issues having more then one story and/or character. Very excited about this one...

More after WIZARD WORLD, which looks to be MARVEL heavy on the news...
I'll maintain that the Clone Saga wasn't bad, just badly wrapped up and killing Ben was too easy an out. The fucked up sibling rivalry between Ben, Peter, and Kaine was a great dynamic and I'm all for a Scarlet Spider/Green Goblin grudge match.
Moon Knight? Awesome. Man-Thing? Would be better but I ain't holding my breath.
I'd like to see a B & B series with some Flash and GL action. GL as in Rayner, if DC decides to forget him as so many have feared.
Interesting that there wasn't much news on the Ultimates line-up from Marvel. Again though, like you (Cerebrus) said, they might just be waiting for the Wizard World con.
I think of worse things than Matt's theory. Personally, I think someone like Reed or Tony or someone will figure it out and reverse it. Spidey is still with Future Force or no?
