1wrestling.com has a story that says the Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA will allow its contracted former ECW talent to work the June 12th WWE-produced ECW PPV.
If it turns out to hold any kind of truth, this can be a good thing. Too bad we probably wouldn't get an RVD/Jerry Lynn match though, due to RVD still nursing his knee.
But a Raven/Tommy Dreamer bloodbath is always a good thing ...
I'm betting they are getting nothing from WWE. I think TNA finally realize that any exposure that their talent can get is a benefit that outweighs any bad that could come from letting them work the PPV. Really, TNA is not at a stage as a "WWE competitor" where they should really be that worried about their workers doing a one-time event with them.
The Bored are already here. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. And no... we won't kill dolphins. But koalas are fair game.
Hopefully paying homage to ECW will be more than enough to keep either for happening...celebrate the promotion, and the nostalgia will probably overwhelm a lot of people, making secondary agendas a non-issue.

That in itself is worth doing the show, but as much as WWE wanted these guys you'd think TNA could get a little more out of them.

Trouble is that WWE is fully prepared to treat TNA like a competitor. I'd be amazed if the TNA ECW guys aren't jobbed out to the WWE ECW guys in some pointless effort to "prove" that WWE is superior. Dreamer should go over Raven, anyway, but when WWE books the match I doubt their history will be considered as much as where each man works.
I'd think TNA would at least ask for some type of mention on commentary. Just something like "Raven, who now works with TNA Wrestling, ..."
But, yes, this is great news. Sad that Rob Van Dam won't be able to work the show though, as Rob Van Dam v. Jerry Lynn would be a perfect main-event for this show. Still, it'll be nice to see Raven at the show.

Never 'Wiener of the Day', and is actually quite bitter about it.

RVD should pull an Eliminator and go off the top with the leg cast. I think it was Saturn who did that. Flew from the top rope and was quoted later as saying "it couldn't make the leg any worse."

Early on it was rumored TNA wanted the rights or 'OK' to use several WWE characters names of the current TNA wrestlers - New Age Outlaws, Billy Gunn, etc. WWE of course said Hell no, and the deal went by the waste side.
Why TNA is allowing them now to do so who knows but whatever, I sure hope we see a Triple Threat tribute with Shane Douglas appearing.
I haven't heard of a lot of names I was hoping to appear. Bam Bam Bigelow for example. Too bad the "Battle of the Bam Bam's" 2 cant happen.
What about these guys... The Eliminators Pitbulls Danny Doring Chris Cheti Steve Corino Simon Diamond 2 Cold Woman, is married to Benoit so bring her to manage Sandman Chastity The whole Dudley family...bring in a bus from Dudleyville I surely won't be the onyl one cheering "I want Big Dick"..wait a second that didn't sound right. What about Kamona Wanalaya? I assuming she's a porn star now or a stripper in Phili nowadays.
Anyone else have certain old ECW promos burned in to their memory? Joey Styles promoing... "The Battle of the Bam Bam's", "The night Kamona Wanalaya danced atop the ECW arena" "The night Sabu broke his neck"

Cheer for Big Dick all you want, I'm reasonably sure he won't make it to the show.
I've been listening to my gut since I was fourteen. And I've come to the conclusion that, frankly, my guts have shit for brains.

Big Dick Dudley and Pitbull #2 both passed away.
I don't see Shane agreeing to do the show. I'd love to see Shane there, at least cutting one of his great promos (I was always a fan of the guy on the mic, despite feeling he was below-average in the ring), but with his history with... well everybody, I don't see it happening.

Thats the joke of chanting "We want Big Dick" I know he's dead(RIP) but everyone wondering is the guy serious or....?
And I meant Pitbull singular. Douglas on the stick would be awesome, and I'm sure he would never cut a promo on how he thinks the WWE sucks 'Big Dick'(RIP)

Isn't Shane doing his own show two days before this show?

It's being held at the Viking Hall in Philadelphia, Pa which is the original ECW Arena (WWE owns ECW so they can't call it ECW Arena) Also and a DVD will be sold at later date of the event with commentary by Joey Styles.
