Dutch is my new pimp hero. That's all I can say.

Asking out Corinne takes HUGE balls. I am totally loving this. Of course, if he is doing it SOLELY out of spite towards Vic, it is pretty low, seeing as how they have two special-needs children together. But if he is interested, I think it is awesome that he is going for it. The nerd is going to nail the quarterback's ex. Go Dutch!

As much of a bastard as Antwon is, it is tough to muster a whole lot of sympathy for Shane. He's been such a colossal asshole for the whole run of the series. I was hoping Lemonhead would beat him down last night, but no such luck. At least Army learned his place in this dispute - on the ground.

Claudette has crossed the line from stubborn do-gooder to unappreciative bitch. What does she expect out of poor Dutch? His lines in interrogation were nicely double-edged, comparing the murder victim to Claudette and her do-gooder attitude.

Watching Julien's dissatisfaction with Rawling and her new policy is especially compelling. While it is tempting to label him as another do-gooder, he has a valid point. These seizure laws do not necessarily jive with the philosophy of "innocent until proven guilty." Julien has matured from the naive and righteous man in Season 1 into a respected street cop with a sense of practicality. I give some weight to his opinion, and now he has gone to Acevada for support. Seeing as how that guy was gonna fuck with this whole thing anyway, shit's gonna get crazy at the Barn.

Anyway, another great episode.

I think Dutch is going to get his ass kicked before he gets to nail the QB's ex. It's one thing to ask Connie out, but it's another thing to try & undermine Vic in the process. I love how Dutch is handling Claudette, but he's got a serious beating in his future if he continues going after Connie.

Lem's emergence as the conscience of the Strike Team is especially compelling. He's managed to reign Vic in, & even shook up Shane a bit. When he was in Shane's face & Army reached for his gun, you could see Shane didn't even try to fight back because of the guilt he felt over the situation. He went from simply worrying about covering his ass with her death, to actually feeling remorse over his role in it when confronted by Lem.

I think the Julian thing is not going to end well for him. Aside from the fact that he refused to participate in the entry into the church (which was accompanied by a warrant AND turned up the drugs), he's got WAY too much dirt & baggage in his past to actually have any impact on Rawling's policy. He's basically about to be a pawn/fall-guy in whatever game Aceveda is playing.

If Shane is in fact heading down the road he seems headed, I don't think he takes the fall, as he's still Vic's guy. Army on the other hand, is not long for this world... :-)

You really have to give Dutch his props after last night, I sure as hell wouldn't ask out Vic Mackeys ex wife.

I think it's obvious that both Julian's and Acevada's 'extra curriculum activities' are going to come back on them eventually it's just a matter of when. Another fantastic episode.

I love Lem's role as the conscience of the strike force. If Shane has to die, I hope that Lem is the one who pulls the trigger.

I love Dutch. He's a weird guy with odd habits (plus he's a cat killer), but he's by far my favorite character. Vic's going to go crazy when Dutch hooks up with his ex, and I'd love to see Dutch try to be a dad to Vic's kids, too.

Dutch asking out Vic's ex-wife? Maybe a case of more guts than brains to borrow a phrase. Would it give Dutch a real sense of satisfaction to one-up Vic by being with her? Yes. Would it be worth it to have Vic on his ass for something so personal? I don't think so. Also, I know Vic would want to beat Dutch's ass like there was no tomorrow but he has to watch his step at work. Captain Rawling doesn't take any shit from anyone and having 2 officers tearing each other up on her time won't fly.

I agree that Julian is going to get squashed in the middle of the Aceveda/Rawling collision. What Aceveda said about Julian trying the same thing before (testifying to internal affairs about Vic stealing drugs from a bust in season 1) ended up screwing them both over was right, and I just don't know that Julian's strong enough to hold out. He's no Claudette.

It was nice to see Shane with such a reformed attitude this week. To think that all it took was being set up for the murder of an innocent teenage girl...

The coolest thing about Dutch/Corrinne is PROBABLY going to be that Vic will find out about it when he turns on the "Dutch-cam" for a good laugh. :D

Another awesome episode. Unlike 24, The Shield doesn't disappoint. The footage of Shane and Army at the end was a pretty damn cool twist. Dutchboy asking out Corrine was pretty cool too. Can't wait to see Vic's reaction when he finds out...

Damn, another great episode. I love that Dutch. Back a episode or two when they had the rape guy who would rape women and have them call their boyfriends/husbands for the thrill, I SO thought that was gonna turn out to be Acevada, yet I still think he is gonna do something against the law. Best part now is next week, it looks like we get to see the evil Glen Close come out. Should be sweet!

Damn, Ronnie might not get that much screen time compared to the rest of the strike team, but he always seems to be there when the bad stuff goes down. I get the feeling that might lead to something down the line.

If Shane has to go, I'd really like to see them incorporate Tavon into it.

Pretty much forgotten about since the fight with Shane & car accident last year. Vic might have mentioned his name to the new Captain in passing when she asked about his old team or something like that. Past that, he's MIA.

After he started to recover, Lem and Vic told him that he hit Mara during the fight, and even caused her to nearly miscarry. Tavon was so wracked with guilt that he agreed to put a lid on the story, thus saving Shane and Mara's ass.

Actually, if the Team came clean to Tavon, they'd have a serious ally against Shane, but then again, he'd have to be really fucking pissed at Vic and Lem, too...I'm not sure I see him playing a part in any of this. That's a shame, because his character was good.

Agreed with all of this. They made the show (although I was really into Saint Walker too). I too am in for the rest of the season, full stop. Plus the very human scream when she got it by the beam. Just such a such moment moment.
