You're better off, really, but I will summarize it thusly:
Grimis: This comment is surely a troll, but here it is anyway! I never learn! Teppan-Yaki: I am compelled to respond to every troll Grimis makes! Here's a hilarious picture in which this concept is demonstrated! I, too, never learn! CRZ: (rolling eyes until an eye transplant is needed)

Enheh...so why not just disestablish the entire Politics forum if this kind of crap is going to go on? If me, then OFB? RSN? spf? Who's next. And I'd like to point on that this thread is the worst offender of trolling recently in the politics forum.

Thanks, Goldberg. Your suggestion to remove the Politics forum has been taken under advisement.
And I'd like to point on that this thread is the worst offender of trolling recently in the politics forum.
I LOVE how you bring this up, because it's a perfect example of me dealing with something in a very public way - and believe me, Aaron REALLY gets mad when I get on his case for something in front of the entire world - yet for some reason, there YOU (the non-admin) are an hour later, chiming in and inserting into the thread your two cents, as if I hadn't already said something, and PUBLICLY at that. Gimme a fucking break, man.
What's the point?
I believe I have gained sufficient exposure to you through your exploits on this board long enough to express the opinion that you personally can't come by cluelessness on this level organically. No... in fact, I'd go so far as to say that you seem to be working VERY hard to manufacture it. The problem here is that your attempts to come off innocent and blameless, pretending all the previous public AND private advice given to you was never really offered, make things so transparent that I have to marvel at the fact that you're still trying to generate that impression at all with your continued posting. One could wonder what YOUR point is, but the truth is I have absolutely no interest in knowing.

It's always you, isn't it? Seriously, are you worried that maybe I WON'T get around to answering these posts or something? These long-ass, rambling sentences that make no sense until after you've read them three times and even THEN maybe not - those take a lotta time, and I'm supposed to be WORKING!
Now, who else wants a piece? :-P

Zed, by its very nature, Politics/Events is a Troll conference. By my old rules (on Relaynet), my thread about the Pope was a troll. I didn't really post any new facts, but floated a theory or two and asked for input.
Now, I thought it was interesting and I wanted to see what others thought, including Aaron and Grimis. I don't agree with Aaron much, and Grimis is a conservative who's not very religious. I looked forward to their comments.
But it was still sort of a troll question, not a lot different that Aaron's comment about the Global Warming.
How do YOU see differentiation between a good and bad thread start in politics/Events?
