My 7 year old daughter voted for the Hammer ad for Lays, because it got her signing "Can't touch this!" She reminded us that it was the song from PSA with the squirrel who stops climbing the broken tree branch at the power line.
My 5 year old girl was the only one of us who laughed at the talking baby spot for Quiznos - but the rest of us had seen it before. But she really loved it.
And my son (9) enjoyed the godaddy.com hearing with the hot chick, but pretended he thought it was tasteless to avoid the teasing from his mom.
We put them to bed just before halftime, so they missed the monkeys.
I agree with supershanespear on the visa add with all the cartoon spokescharacters, Charlie Tuna, Morton Salt girl, mostly because it ended with with Mr. Clean doing the dishes.
And while overly sentimental, the Anheiser Busch Thank You spot applauding the military servicemen at the airport was well done
I always mark out for the subtlety of the Tabasco ads and the "Tan Lines" did not disappoint.....Burt Reynolds scared me but the FedEx/Kinkos ad was good.....I will never do Blockbuster by Mail thanks to their countless ads....and I to can relate to working with a bunch of monkeys (though in a side note, the biggest dumb monkey in my office got fired on Friday so I am a happy camper today).
Golf is harder than Baseball. In Golf you have to play your foul balls.
Throwing back MC Hammer got the biggest reaction at my place.
I really liked both Ameriquest ads. I could really relate to the convenience store ad because I am constantly fooled by people on cellphones with headsets into thinking they are talking to me. Then I feel like an idiot saying "hello" back to someone who is standing next to me but was never talking to me in the first place.
On a Simpsons note: Is this the first time Comic Book Guy has had his real name revealed??? (I loved the Mario gag and the way Marge had a closet full of sailboat paintings to hang on the wall)
Thanks for a great season, Pick of the Week fans...see you next year at Planet Magic in Denmark, WI!
I'll add some love for Burt Reynolds's FedExapalooza. Was I the only W who, when requirement #6 (groin kick) came on, quoted Homer: "Football in the groin! Football in the groin!"
And the girl from the Tabasco's ad!? 3 words: HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA.
Too much monkeys...but props to Simpsons for some Donkey Kong love. Awesomeness.
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy.

I loved the convenience store commercial with the guy on the cell phone, mostly because I am highly annoyed when people talk on their cell phones while paying for items or ordering food at fast food places.

You know I thought she looked vaguely familiar, but those diva losers all blend together for me. If it really was Candace, she was a bajillion times better in this commercial than she's ever been on WWE TV.
I feel like a old lady saying this, but the PUBLIX ad with the kid making a cake that ended up being for his mom was kinda sweet.
Other then that any chance of having THE MIGHTY THOR grace my TV is extremely welcome.

Raw's live...she probably got 500 million kabillion takes for the commercial.
I liked all the other ones people are mentioning, plus the (probably) Budweiser one with the guy who got his friend's awesome football tix only to find out his friend's humping his g/f back home.
Personally, my favorite SB39 moment was the pre-game "concert". The singer from the Black-Eyed Peas was finishing the number off and said: "Everyone, have a HAPPY FOOTBALL!!".
Also, the Patriots got JOBBED on that coin flip. Coin FLIP, junior...not coin DROP.
Originally posted by whateverI am surprised there isn't more love here for the Bud Light skydiver commercial.
That was my favorite. Best laugh I had all night. The Cedric "fantasy" commercial also worked for me the second he replaced the girls with the dog.
My wife's favorite actually ran during the pregame show...The Subway commercial with the girl who melts the snowman with the toasted sub. She loved that.
My biggest disappointment of the night was the payoff for the Mustang convertable commercial, although I did laugh at it the first time it played...
No one's mentioned this, and I had forgotten about it myself until I saw it mentioned on ESPN.com's Page 3, but the Anheuser-Busch ad with the troops walking through the airport to a round of applause was pretty damned awesome.

The cat in the pasta sauce was so timely. We were just talking about pets spilling stuff on the floor just around that time, and how some cats get an attitude and push things off the countertop. The other Ameriquest one was fun too although I was hoping for a wrestling-style beatdown with the kicks.
I was mainly disappointed by the commercials I've already seen the few days before, like the Vin Diesel movie, Quiznos baby talking (yawn), and the repeated commercials. Subway fogged-up car commercial was predictable too; that might have been a rerun.
Of the monkey ones, the third one was the best...Titanic and butt kissing.
Liked the superhero one over the old products one because I can't remember what the old products one was really selling.
So, the Candace ad was removed before it's second airing.
Tuesday, February 8, 2005 NFL notes 'inappropriateness' of ad Associated Press
NEW YORK -- A racy TV ad for a vendor of Web site names was pulled before a second showing during the Super Bowl after NFL executives objected that the spot made light of Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" in last year's halftime show.
The ad for GoDaddy.com Inc. featured a woman appearing before a "broadcast censorship" hearing. She makes her case that she wants to appear in a commercial, when suddenly a strap breaks on her already skimpy top.
A committee member reaches for an oxygen mask, while a woman suggests that the woman put on a turtleneck. The logo of the fake news channel was "G-Spin," and the hearings were supposedly being held in Salem, Mass., the town made famous by witch trials.
Although the spot was approved by Fox executives and aired once during the telecast Sunday, a decision was made during the broadcast not to air it again later in the game. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said that the league's chief operating officer, Roger Godell, expressed his "disappointment" to Fox executives after seeing the first airing of the ad.
McCarthy said the NFL had not reviewed the ad before its airing, and was not aware that it had been scheduled to be repeated later in the game. "We questioned why a spot of that nature was in the game," McCarthy said, noting its "inappropriateness" and the fact that it referred to last year's Jackson episode.
Jon Nesvig, the president of advertising sales for Fox Broadcasting Co., a division of News Corp., said in a statement that when the commercial ran in the first half, "it became obvious to us that its content was very much out of step with the tenor set by the other ads and programming broadcast by Fox on Super Bowl Sunday, so Fox made the decision to drop its repeat airing."
Fox had already rejected a second ad from GoDaddy.com prior to the broadcast.
McCarthy said that the NFL had several conversations with Fox in the weeks leading up to the game in order to "make sure that the overall presentation of Super Bowl Sunday would be suitable for a mass audience. ... That's why we questioned this particular content."
The NFL was determined not to have a repeat of last year's complaints after Jackson's breast was exposed when singer Justin Timberlake ripped off a piece of her costume.
Warren Adelman, chief operating officer of GoDaddy.com, said the company was "very disappointed" that the ad was pulled and received no advance warning from Fox. The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company is still in discussions with Fox about what kind of restitution would be made, he said.
"The irony is that a parody of censorship was itself censored," Adelman said.

I did it about a year ago. If I recall correctly, the diary was pretty much filled up with WWE RAW, Kim Possible, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and The West Wing.
