This is copied and pasted from the OO Forums. I haven't verified them, so not sure how accurate the numbers are. But, if the numbers are true, the voting results are really screwed up. This is a county Kerry won, btw.
Well, the page that goes with that link says ...the ballots cast totals for municipalities on this web page and on the summary report needs to be derived by using the following technique: ... For municipalities without wards, please refer to the contest of interest on the canvass report. so I'll do that with your cookie places.
What happened was the turnout numbers were wrong. The vote totals were right. Trust me. We've crunched this lord knows how many times at the office and come up with correct vote totals each time.
Good to see Garfield Heights isn't on the list, although it almost looks like the *only* Cuyahoga county community not mentioned. WHOOO-HOOO - go Garfield! No voter fraud here at all! We can run a clean vote! YAY!
Oh wait, the school levy went down in flaming defeat. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Hey, #500 post as well! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Don't have a web link for this yet, but John Fund said on FOX News last night that the error resulted in the voting machine or software attributing all the absentee ballots to Cuyahoga county.
The problem stems from an election canvassing report posted on the county's Web site, where the number of "ballots cast" in several suburbs exceeds the number of registered voters.
For example, the documents suggest that 13,939 ballots were cast in Beachwood, though only 9,943 voters are registered there.
But county officials say that's not how the data should be read. The "ballots cast" is not a reflection of the votes within a city's borders; the numbers also include votes in the congressional and legislative districts that overlap with the cities.
I'll admit that explanation confuses me. Does that mean that the ballot totals of City X were added to the totals of every other town in the same congressional district?
Either way, the Plain Dealer says it's nothing to worry about.
