Please remember to put in your pick early - picks must be locked in before Thursday.

Wow, looking at the schedule this week, it is very hard to decide a clear-cut "they will win" team. Unfortunately, it looks like Baltimore is the closest thing, but I can hope that Cleveland will surprise them. ;)

Am I the only one who sees St. Louis hosting Arizona as a sure win for the Rams?

I'm seeing that whole Houston/Miami game from last year with that. It seems a little TOO obvious.

(That being said, Rams win, 45-0.)

Inside knowledge: I have Vick in a different league - this guarantees that he will suck this year. Avoid choosing ATL.

Of course, I have Rattay in the Wienerleague....

I think that Vick will be underwhelming this year. Actually, I guess I only hope so (in one league I'm in, the opposing guy has Vick and Crumpler this week). Of course with Atlanta facing the woeful 49ers this week, I may be in trouble.

Oh, and I wouldn't put it past the Chargers to beat the Texans, so I changed my pick there. The Rams is the only real sure pick this week.

Joe Wilson (looking at Interocitor manual)- Hey, here's something my wife could use in the house...
Crow T. Robot- A man?
Joe Wilson- An interocitor incorporating an electron sorter.
Cal Meechum- Oh, she'd probably gain 20 pounds while it did all the work for her.
Tom Servo- Cal, you bitch!

Looks like several sure things, not to mention my Packers over Carolina...hey, what's that doing in there?!

Am I the only person who thinks the Buc's won't suck this year? Course I thought they had a shot at repeating last year. Eagles/Giants is never a sure thing if only because the rivalry between the two can act as a great leveller.

Given the number of games that look close on paper I ended up following rule #1A of Survival Football: When in doubt, bet against the Cards...

Well.....the Rams have a patchwork line and if it doesn't hold up Bulger could have a long day.

This is gonna be one small assed league if the Cards and the Giants can spring a week 1 upset.

Kudo's to Jag for taking the Panthers over the Pack. Could have waited for a more 'sure thing' (I mean San Diego, San Fran and the Cards are RIGHT THERE) for your team later in the year but you didn't. Takes balls sir.

Thanks, but I really just think that little of Chicago.

The Panthers kept me alive in Week 1 last year, and I believe they can do it again this year. Good luck to Broncolanche and Candian Bacon with the Minny pick. I hope they win, but that Dallas defense is going to make things interesting.

Best looking pick right now? EvilWaldo's. McNair and company vs the Fins? That looks like the biggest lock of all.

This first week is really difficult to pick a sure winning, there's only two that I would say it's decent odds to win and that's Rams over Cardinals and Eagles over Giants... The rest seems like it could go either way depending how prepared each team is.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is raised to ORANGE alert - High (Benoit lost the title to some punk kid named Orton, lets look at the positive at least it's a heel not named HHH who has the title, which allows two fresh faces battling for the World title.. whaat? excuse me? what happened on Raw! well scratch that... Over to Smackdown we wave at Justin Bradshaws title reign, I think I'm getting sea sick)- 8/22
