According to a team official, Jason Kidd returned from his Mexican vacation yesterday and immediately requested a meeting with management at Ratner's earliest convenience, at which time the Nets' captain is expected to demand a trade.
And to further illustrate the goals of the new ownership group, a close friend of Alonzo Mourning yesterday disclosed that the disabled center wants to attempt a comeback, but has been informed by the team that his services are no longer desired, as it would rather lop his salary off the cap after next season.
Gotta save, money for the Brooklyn move - but damn. I'm thinking Kidd is kicking himself for not going to the Spurs when he had the chance.
Well, ESPN Insider says Kidd wants to go back to the West. The Mavs are the favorite, followed by the Lakers and the Spurs.
Personally, I think he fits the Spurs best and plus the Nets would definitely be getting Tony Parker in that trade (that should've happened last year).
I don't know... I kinda like "Oklahoma Hornets". It's a little catchy albeit sounding like a D-League team (leave the joke alone). Thought I wouldn't expect to hear JR tout the BAH GAWD HAWNITS on Raw anytime soon. :)
