Me, I like GIANT ROUND UGLY GLASSES, but my wife intervened on my behalf. HER MISTAKE because now I'm a CHICK MAGNET - well, all the ladies at the optometry place thought they were hot, anyway.

Anyway, it'll all be moot when my new contacts come in.

Glasses are always the way to go. Those look quite stylin', I must say.

I just can't stick my fingers in my eyes, so glasses seem to work better for me.

Good idea to get them now if you have an eye plan at work.

Milk those benefits for all they are worth. You get a good, subtle 'dig at the evil corporation' feeling.

So do they get a cut in commission for every glasses they endorsed Contacts! That's something I can never get into, I freak like a baby when an eyelash comes near my eye let alone some contacts.

I tried them for about a day, but God forbid my allergies make my eyes water, so me and contacts were just a very bad mix.

Which is OK...I don't hate my frames that much.

I'd have to wager they were being honest -- they were all gaga over my frames when we walked in, which isn't exactly the best path to take with new customers who are there to buy new glasses.

A while back i foolishly bought a pair of Armani glasses for (total cost) 250. Thean when David Beckham scored for England vs Greece in a World Cup Qualifier (trust me, it was intense) i jumped up and down and my glasses fell off being squashed by a fellow publican
Quickly learnt that Specsavers originals costing 20 are the best way to go

You, sir, rock. (But you knew that.)

I'm having a hell of a time finding big enough frames at the places that my insurance covers (Pearle, Target, department-store optical). 90% of the frames in Pearle are about the size of two Mike & Ikes glued together, if that, which drives me nuts. If chain-store frames are big enough top-to-bottom, they're usually the ones with the support bar on top (which I don't care for much).

I like big rounded lenses, not little narrow ones. The glasses are the window through which I see everything, so why the HELL would anyone want a little tiny window instead of a decent-sized one where they can look up, down, left OR right without having to turn their head?

I do not believe in contacts; sticking my finger in my eye on a twice-a-day basis is not what I consider to be a natural act.

The pair I got before *this* pair came from Wal-Mart and were pretty cheap. (Insurance covered my contacts so I was on my own for frames.) Once I'm back in the money, I'll probably look around and see what kind of backup pair I can get...

Try checking out some of the franchised Pearls-they tend to have more of a diverse collection than the corporate ones. One of my good friend runs three such franchised Pearls in Atlanta, and I've got four or five pairs that comfortably fit my huge head.

Also, if you like the drill mount-style glasses, they can usually fit just about any lens into those type of frames. But you gotta ask for it.
