Despite the ridiculously overturned goal, the Black Bears had a two man advantage to end the game (three when they pulled the goalie) and could not score. They were so panicked that they couldn't get a good shot off. And who loses to Denver? Denver? They have a Division I school? Geez.

Maine. Maine loses to Denver.
DU has a great history of hockey - though not much recently. I used to go to all of their home games when I lived in Denver from 1984-88 and they were basically the only game we had in town.
Six on three and all the Black Bears can do is hit the cross bar ? Guess they needed Mickelson back on the point taking the shots.....

Actually, no, they DON'T have a Division I school. I believe I read that both UMD and Denver are either Division I-AA or Division II.

Congrats to Denver, sorry about that, Maine.
Maine is I-AA, also. Sorry about badmouthing the Pioneers from Denver. They played a great game and deserve the trophy.
