Well, kids, looks like our two castoffs (two? What happened to "one a week"?) are Aaron (the beach colapsee, what gave him heart tremors Excedrin?) and Robert, the big black man with a heart of gold.
Robert seemed to take it really well, he didn't quit so he's happy. Aaron seemed pissed. The reasoning was that he didn't complete the beach run and he didn't learn moves well enough. Robert was just too fat.
Poor, Jessie. Al made a point to tell her what to work on and not Linda. She may have been rightly pissed off about that. Linda is the bitch of the show.
Bob's stretching of Hawk seemed to be in good fun, for everybody but Hawk.
I think they should keep Anni and Jessie and make them the female version of Show and Spike. Have they ever had female tag belts? I'm talking non-Japan or WOW.
Those educated feet! One went to Harvard. One went to Yale. Their daddy must be proud! - good ol J.R. hating his life

For Linda, I think they're going to keep her as long as possible. TE needs a heel, and they don't want to get rid of her too soon like they did Darryl (though "Harvard" Chris did fit that role later).
For the second point: As Ivory pointed out, Hawk is screwing up because he's worried that Bob Holly is going to kick his ass if he screws up a little bit. Considering Holly stretching of Hawk, He's right. I wonder if Holly will lay off on Hawk, esp. after Ivory brought it up. I hope not, as long as it doesn't end up like Full Metal Jacket .
The most interesting part of the show was Big Show talking about being booted down to Louisville because he was being an asshole. I had always thought that he was booted down because he was fat (well it makes sense, considering he didn't lose any weight during those 5 months).
I was a bit perplexed at their reasoning for cutting Robert. "Sorry, you're not in shape"?? WTF? Ummm, but you guys KNEW he wasn't in shape. He had to show his physique at the casting special. He had to go through a physical. He had to do that mountain run and came in dead last. And now you're saying "Holy Cow, this guy's not in shape!"?
I just don't get it. Were they expecting him to all of a sudden become Mr. Stamina? Chavo had it right, he was carrying around a LOT extra -- a lot extra they knew he had from the start. If they were gonna cut him for not being in shape, why give him the chance to begin with? Why not give it to someone who's in shape from the start?
I wonder if good ol' JR hand-picked this guy over protests of the same "he's not in shape" complaints, and they just wanted to get rid of him quickly.
Some bodies make for good wrestlers, and some personality types make for good television. Several of these people have no shot at winning the WWF contract, but they're in the mix because, in the end, this is first and foremost an MTV reality show -- "Real World", but in a wrestling school. They might as well be in computer school; the focus is the group dynamics, not the activity.
Robert got the gig almost BECAUSE he was out of shape. They thought it would make for good TV to watch him struggle.
PS: The drug Aaron took was EPHEDRIN, the same drug that got Kory Stringer killed, the same drug that gets many athletes killed every friggin' year..
You would think that the fact one of the contestants was in real danger of getting himself F***'in KILLED, would prompt both MTV and the WWF to make a strong, clear point about taking drugs (however hypocritical that might be for both companies). At the very least Al Snow could have MENTIONED IT IN PASSING as one of the reasons Aaron's butt was getting the boot.
I was kinda shocked, they are cutting two people at the end of each show. I wonder if this is a trend or something they are doing, because they didn't cut anyone on the first episode. You would think they learned their lesson from last year when almost all the women went down before the last three shows. It just doesn't make sense.
Overall, I liked the first season cast better, this year I have no clue favorite, but I do like Jessie even though a good gust of wind should break all of the bones in her body. Everyone else seems to be lost in the shuffle.
A Fan- I have no luck, missed Smackdown and didn't catch Celebrity Boxing this week.
I never realized that the whole "Virgin" Molly Holly bit had some truth behind it. It is a nice story, and the picture of the couple is really nice. Good for both of them for finding their love.
