Ivory just appeared as the co-host on Excess and just minutes in she's run circles around everyone else who's ever appeared on the show. Good gawd I hope Terri never comes back, Ivory is full of energy and actually talking wrestling!

THANK YOU to the WWF for already making tonight 1000000 times more bearable!

That sounds very sweet, I'm glad that that have her doing SOMETHING useful, if not wrestling than at least something. A female announcer is an interesting idea, and I don't see why it shouldn't work. The only problem is, isn't she working on Tough Enough 2? Can she juggle both, assuming that what you saw wasn't a one-shot deal?

They said that Terri was in Hawaii and would be back next week. HOWEVER - they said the very same thing when Terri took over for Trish. Something about Trish couldn't make it to the show, so Terri's here for one week only...and she never left. Fingers crossed!

I believe that Tough Enough has already been taped. I could be wrong about this, though.

Ivory was pretty good. She does love to talk.

I think they always want to find some sort of speaking role for Ivory - she can be great at it when she's given something to say - and I rememeber "we're thinking about turning Ivory in a commentator" used to be a running Ross Report line, like she was a cruiserweight or somethin'

Then, WM All Day happened. I didn't see it, but from others, it sounded like she went Morning Latte and it didn't work at all. And suddenly JR wasn't bringing up her being a commentator anymore.

Was she Ivory acting like Ivory on the show? I thought that might work better than some fake chipperness.

Ivory on her own probably would have made a great impact, but from TERRI to IVORY, that's a mindblowing good decision. I think Terri will have to get a regular managing gig to keep her off Excess permantly, though.

Tough Enough 2 is all taped and done. Like the first one, they'll probably bring the finalists back about a month before the final show to get them in shape enough so they can do a quick match after the win, but I would expect to see Al, Hardcore and Chavo to start appearing regularly now, unless they want to hold them off till post-split.

Cornette would probably rather choke himself than hype the video packages and toss out historical matches with a bare minimium background. You need someone who can geniuely sound intersted in what happened on RAW and Smackdown that past week, and I don't think James E. is that guy, given what's happening and who it involves.

Of course, Cornette would be great, if Excess was a different show. As I've written millions of times it seems by now, Excess could be a great vehicle for the WWF-WCW video library.

I thought Ivory was fantastic on Excess. I really think she has that "Katie Couric" quality that the WWF should utilize.

I remember Wrestlemania 2000 All-Day, and I really blame the WWF for how Ivory came off. Who the heck can stay on the air for such a long period of time? Even on Sept. 11th and in the days following, the major news networks cycled through different anchors to give people a break and to keep fresh. Ivory was understandably losing her mind after a few hours. I know I was losing mine watching it.

Its not working because people either know he was a joke in WCW and a glorified jobber until the end. Or they just know him as one of those guys who came in from WCW but didn't do anything forever.
