I myself am a huge mark for Angle , his heel persona any ways . I was wondering if anyone here had any favorite or defining Kurt Angle moments during his tenure with the WWF so far .

Mine was when he had the match with Slaughter ( which was a hell of a match imo )and after the match he was doing the massive victory celebration where he ripped open that giant bag of popcorn and was just going off in front of the old black man who was a vendor or custodian or something and the old guy was just looking at him like he was crazy . That's the point Angle got way over with me . That shit was priceless !

Any thoughts on our Olympic Hero ?

When he Olympic Slammed Maye Young, and his post slam speech

The moonsault off the top of the cage

When he was Euro-Continental champion and he would tell random people in the back of his great triumphs as they looked on with utter boredom

His support for abstinence

Cowboy Kurt- the hat that Stonecold bought for him

The badges he bought for Vince and Austin

When he tried to out sing Austin

Milk-a-mania! Milk truck incident

When he retrieved his gold medal from Benoit's tights- and kissed them!

Just about any match he has been in.

Damn, there are just too many moments to remember! I know I'm forgetting so many.

And when did this Slaughter match take place? I must have missed that.

- On this past Raw, when Angle backed into Kane, Angle reached behind him to feel who or what it is, then gave the best "oh shit" expression anybody could possibly give.

- When Angle was feuding with The Undertaker a couple of years ago, Angle tried to give UT a peace offering in the form of a moped. Even UT had to struggle to contain himself and not break kayfabe.

- "I am the only Euro-continental champion in the WWF, besides D'Lo Brown, but he doesn't count."

How about the time when he faced Mark Henry, his second appearance on RAW (Transcript courtesty of CRZ):

"Hold on, hold up Mark. In the Olympic creed, it state - people, please, listen up. In the Olympic creed it states that it doesn't whether you win or you lose, but that you *participate* in the Olympic games. Now, I have a problem with that certain quote. You see I specifically qualified for the Olympics to win nothing but gold, for myself and for this great county...thank you. Now, there were SOME of us that did not quite pull through for the good ol' US of A. I won't mention any names...so tonight, I am asking you, the fans of Buffalo to cheer for the man who brought home the Olympic gold medal...and not the man who stayed out all night at a topless bar the night before he competed! ...he stayed out all night at a topless bar the night before he competed, AND..nononononononono...and finished...EIGHTEENTH PLACE!"

Well sue me, I LIKED it.

-Also all the Austin/Angle skits right after KOTR were comic gold.

It's been quiet a while back , I couldn't really say , but I'm sure CRZ would know . It really surprised me though , I didn't think Slaughter could still go like that , but like I said , it was a hell of a match !

BTW , those were all great Angle moments .

I'll give my vote to the time he pulled the medals out of Benoits pants and then kissed them. That was priceless.

-I don't have the exact quote, but when Regal wanted him to team with the Holly Cousins:
"Let's see... I broke Hardcore Holly's arm, hit Crash over the head with a chair, and I've physically threatened Molly, but you know what? I forgive them!"

-The Kurt Angle pizza commercial that Triple H showed.

-When someone (Jericho?) was using a soap opera reference to make fun of Steph, Angle interrupts, completing the statement and mentioning that he saw that episode.

-All of the Angle/Austin stuff from last summer.

-His Olympic Slam on Shane McMahon off a podium.

-The Triple H/Angle stuff from Summer 2000, where HHH kept making fun of Kurt crying after winning the Olympics and then implying that he was gay.

-Of course, Angle getting his medals back from Benoit's pants, kissing them and then realizing what he just did.

-He, Edge and Christian's jug band pose in Louisville at Judgment Day 2000.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Honestly, I like Angle but never though he deserved a main event spot... having said that Team (R)ECK produced some of the funniest moments on TV. Really the only memorable thing he's done, besides some great reactions to memorable things other people have done, is the milk truck incident.

That said "It's true, it's true" is one of the few catchphrases I quote in real life :)

I also love the mini-cowboy hat and retrieving his medal from Benoit's tights.

But, your Honour, may I also submit the following evidence:

*Angle falling to his knees crying after he won the World title in a parody of his medal win.

*Getting Kane to tap out (Kane's first submission, if I'm not mistaken. I marked out like a kid for that).

*The fact that every time he comes out the singalong "You Suck" chant gets going. This guys has amazing natural heat.

*And, of course, (and I can't believe no-one's mentioned it yet) the love triangle angle. The hottest angle at the time (that went nowhere, but was a hell of a ride). Angle played the wife stealing dick perfectly.

I could go on. I am such an Angle mark it's untrue (sic). I really have to go do some work though so I'll stop. Angle, in my mind, is the most complete performer in years. I hope he keeps up the good work.

Angle's very first taped spots hyping his upcoming debut in the WWF were great. If you weren't paying attention, they seemed like the old pieces they'd run for a face (like the walking-by-a-lake interview that they did for Blue Chip Third Generation Superstar Rocky Maivia), but they were designed to get you to start hating Angle from the start, like the old Mr. Perfect spots. His character was in place from the start.

And then there was calling Kane a "retard", followed by the crowd booing and Angle quickly trying to backtrack by saying that "It's OK, a lot of my fans are retarded!", followed by more booing.

His return to Pittsburgh last year was great, too, with the crowd almost simultaneously booing and cheering him.

- When he played the Rock's "Pie" video. "What the fffffffffff...reakin' heck was that? You call that music??" Of course, it was funnier because he was right.

- The recent "I AM THE BABY GAME" thing. That was just so hilarious.

I agree with you 99% . His face persona still needs work ,but other than that , ANGLES DA MAN !

Thanks everyone for Our Olympic Hero moments , there was so many that I had forgotten about .

Kinda on a side note , what was Angle's PRO wrestling experience before he was brought up to the WWF ?

The Kurt Angle pizza commercial that Triple H showed

Didn`t Rock show that?

About a year or so in the developmental leagues, which he doesn`t really go into that much in his book.

No one mentioned Edge`s birthday, maybe because E&C stole that with the kazoos. But Kurt gave Edge an autographed picture of himself signed "I think I know you. It`s true. Your friend, Kurt" Comedy genius.

Being a NY Giants fan I have to say that I really enjoyed the five second "Scott Norwood" Pose.

Also during the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Kurt's in the back reading a copy of the USA Today: "Hmm, I can beat him. I can beat him too. I DID beat him." At that point Trish come up to him and flirts with him.

With all these great Kurt Angle moments being brought up it's making me wish there was a way to see them. Has anyone seen "Kurt Angle: It's True. It's True" on DVD and can recommend it as a good buy?

Even though I'm from Indianapolis (and a Pacers and IU fan), I thought Angle's five-second pose with Edge and Christian in Indianapolis was hilarious.

They came out wearing Pacers and Hoosiers jerseys, and did a great Bobby Knight impersonation. Hard to describe since my memory's a little fuzzy on it.

I loved all the Angle/Austin stuff from last year. One moment that stands out in my mind was during the match at SummerSlam. Angle, his face a crimson mask, was putting the Ankle Lock on Austin outside the ring, and he was screaming at him so loud his voice was cracking. No one radiates emotion in the ring like my Olympic hero. Oh, it's true.

Another highlight of the SummerSlam match was the numerous times that Angle kicked out of the Stone Cold Stunner. JR actually said, “I'm convinced that on this night, Austin can't beat Angle.”

Vince on Angle: "Yes, I know he's a dork, but he's a dangerous dork and tonight, he's our backup dork."

"I'm a real cowboy." Yippie-ki-yo-ki-yay, Golden Boy!

Milk-o-mania, baby!! That was just priceless as hell...I have friends who sat fifth row ringside, near the entrance ramp for that RAW & they got some great shots of it all, along with the ensuing milk bath at the end.

The whole "I am the baby Game" thing was too funny...is it just me, or did HHH look like he was having a hard time keeping a straight face when he came out there to beat up Angle?

The heel Angle is waaaay better than face Angle. All the moments you guys mentioned are at the top of my list also. I mark out anytime I see Angle go up top for the moonsault. Even if it misses, it's still a beautiful sight.
