Do they have basic CRZ/Guruzim thread blasting powers minus the ability of programming the Board?

I hate it when people start threads before I can make the relevant announcement. ;-)

BEHOLD, YOUR MODERATORS

Guru and I have seemingly at random promoted a dozen people who are likely to be around when we're not, and when we might need some action taken. Moderators can delete individual posts, move/close/delete threads, and ban users, and that's about it.

We picked people either we really liked or that nobody really disliked. Or maybe both. I forget. We tried to make it as apolitical as possible and not pick people with "ties" to some other place (as far as we knew). Please don't be offended that you were picked. Please don't be offended that you WEREN'T picked.

We'll see how this goes and then either everyone will be busted back to normal when I'm back for good, or I'll forget and become an old power-sharing softie in my married state.

I swear to God, if Frosty Freeze is IMing me while I'm typing this message, he's banned for 12 hours.

I just looked at the Board and realized that my name was now GREEN. I was confused. But now I'm not. Well, I'm confused in a different sort of way, but that's okay.

Now I haven't actually tried it, but I thought I'd let you know that I seem to have full MOD powers over your post CRZ.

Hey! No more handing out 0's for trolls. Now I can just delete and/or ban. Oh happy day.

I like the choice in green. Spiffy.

Now, if only I could find the best way to abuse my powers.

I must congratulate you on providing the exact opposite of the response I had predicted: "What the hell, no way, give it to Shapiro"

Sadly, this has been the highlight of my day.

Hmmm... running out of things to sample.... posts by time of day? Apparently I'm the youngest, and The Goon is the oldest, but several of us don't have birthdays.... I'm also pretty sure that cubs was the only 'Contributor' to become a Mod.

And at least one of us posts regulary to each of the forums.

But the real question is: Have we been removed from the Wiener of the Day pool?

-Jag

Actually, the real question is - how do we ban users? I'm not seeing a link....

You sure about that? I'd say that honor goes to me, unless there's some "minimum posts" limit you're going by.

EDIT: That should be "minimum votes"

Right on. This should really help out around here. I've been wanting to suggest it for a while (and immediately recommend that I not be one of them because I'd ban everyone.)

The question is, did I get moderator status for a)sleeping on Guru Zim's couch, or b)sleeping on Infinitum's couch?

Either way, I just remember what Peter Parker's Uncle Ben told him: "With great powers comes great responsibility."

Now, let me just figure out how to create a porn forum.

Aww...I wanted new bells and whistles.

All I get is "Post in Columns Section" action...and smells like peanut action, though that was hardly the point.

Wisconsin Badgers: 4-1 (Good stuff. I'm worried about Davis though. A sprained ankle shouldn't be THIS bad.)

Minnesota Vikings: 4-0 (Poor T.O. Gus Frerotte, Quarterback of the FUTURE!!)

I can't believe how thoughtless CRZ was when he set up the new moderators.

I've been hurt and confused all day; I must be the only person using the "greens" color scheme, huh?

More probably c) not shitting the bed either time.

Does that make cubs a Moderbuter? Or is that a Contribu-ater?

Taken from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

Accusations have surfaced about Julian Tavarez doctoring the baseball with a foreign substance that he hides on the bill of his cap.

''It's ridiculous,'' Tavarez said. ''They checked my hat last year, too, and never found anything. They're just trying to get inside my head. But I won't let them.'' Just to demonstrate that no one was getting inside his head, Tavarez decided to ramble on for another hour or two and provide a quote of the year possibility. ''Some people like skinny women. I like fat women. Some people like young women. I like older women. Some people like poor women. I like rich women,'' Tavarez said. ''Some people like clean hats. I like my dirty hat.''

Ahem.

(Since my contributions involved editing the CRZ Year in Quotes compilations, and since 2003 will be The Year Without A CRZ Recap, it's an understandable oversight.)

Ya know, I looked at your name and my brain went Contributor! But then I couldn't think of anything that you'd written. So, I stand corrected.

-Jag

Edit\ My rating takes another hit. I'll be the least loved Mod yet...

It seems that the first post of each page has a red/green layout, but every other one reverts to my setting (Blues). Kinda cool, but also kinda weird.
