"Elsewhere, Rock atones for his shitty match by mocking the nWo and telling them where they can stick their camera. I would pay $30 with no complaints just to hear the Rock verbally abusing these goofs for two hours and then giving them all Rock Bottoms."
No he wouldn't! He's Scott Keith! He HAS to hate wrestling, and everything involved with wrestling. Jeez, I don't even have the energy to bother anymore.
I stopped reading him a long time ago too, and I reckon this whole board could get by without ever mentioning him by name again. After all, we're all firmly in the Z camp when it comes to that battle or we wouldn't be here in the most part.
Now having said that, and I don't mean to get at you personally pieman, but what is it with people just saying "well, don't read it" when someone bashes a site? This is the site bashing forum, so people should be able to bash stuff here. If you think a comment is pointless, then don't comment in that thread. Threads without replies disappear quicker than those with lots of replies, apply the "don't read it" logic here too.
I'm sure lou was just pissed and wanted to vent in an appropriate place. He might never have read that site again, so why say anything about it? I got the same thing over my vent on 1wrestling's Rumble report. I'm actually able to realise that if something consistently pisses you off to avoid it as I'm sure lou is, and I don't think there's any harm in a parting vent so how about we let people do so?
"Nobody enjoys a good time more than I do, but this business of yours is as legitimate as a three-legged donkey...which of course is illegitimate because as we all know donkeys have four legs."
I think what pieman is talking about is that every month someone else starts a thread bashing Keith. And they always complain how he is getting more arogant, hateful, boring ect. So the simple reply is don't read him because he is not going to change, or get any better. And there is alot of better recaps/rants to read.
Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.
I actually kind of like Keith these days more, because he is a bit of a counterpoint to what seems to be a growing sentiment (outside of the BIG 3 news sites anyways) to praise anything good by the WWF, and to ignore anything bad or unamusing or illogical as "being too smart", or "it's just wrestling" or "smarks worry too much about things most fans don't care about." I'm glad someone is there to point out that yes, HHH hasn't looked good since his return, and that UT matches really aren't exciting to some people. I skip over most of the self-aggrandizement parts of his recaps so I guess the persona and the ego don't bother me as much, because I tend to ignore them.
I read keith a lot bc even though it sounds like he hates everything, he at least says WHY it sucks. Remember this was the guy who was accused of being biased TOWARDS the WWF during 98-99 when he would shit on WCW. Turns out he was right as basically everything he said came true and even called them going out of business.

Thank you, Scar. That is exactly what I meant. Every couple of weeks a new thread pops up about how Scott this or Scott that.
I know. I get it. Move on.
He's Rolie Polie Olie - and in his world of curves and curls, he's the swellest kid around.
Who doesn't enjoy a good Scott Keith bashing? It's not like he tricked you into reading the thread, either. Take your own advice and don't read the Keith bashing threads if they bother you.
That said, I'm glad somebody else reads Keith, as I don't have the power to read him anymore, but still enjoy laughing at him. I am too old and weak to read his nonsense every few days. And it takes about an hour for the Smarks.com to open up nowadays.
What's your favorite Keith moment? Someone pointed this out to me, but I like the one Rant (WCW Bash at the Beach 92, I think, I dont remember right now) that started off about why he was sitting at home alone watching it on New Year's Eve, and how that was more fun anyway.
Trust me I don't mind bashing Keith either. I stoped reading him too and I'm not missing anything.
All I'm saying that is as long as people keep reading him even to see what crap he comes with that week, he's still gonna get hits and that's not helping the problem.

Exactly.
Attention is attention. Be it negative (criticism) or positive (praise), it is still very rewarding to the individual getting it. I'm sure he loves the hits and he probably loves the negative threads/eMails as much as the positive ones. It all comes back to attention.
I have given him attention in the past. I am trying very hard to give him none in the future.
Me Say Dis...I Really Don't Understand Why People Get On Scott's Case All The Time. And Plus That Whole Quote Was Probably, A Light Hearted Comment And Not Meant To Be Taken As An Exact Evaluation Of What Mr Keith Would Spend His Crisp Bills On. The Fact Is That Scott Still Gives American Matches, And Ones Worth It, ****+ And Until He Stops That No-One Can Say He Really 'Hates Wrestling'. After A PPV The First Review I Check Always Has Been Scot's And Probably Always Will Be.

I Think We Can All Agree That That Was The Greatest Post In The History Of Our Sport!
I gotta agree that not reading the the Netcarp's columns are probably the best way to express your opinion of him. People LOVE hate mail and negative publicity. Just look at how Hyatte used the freakish gems his "hatas" (<----I wish this word would die) would send him. I know it was hard for me to stop reading his columns so I would have something to bitch about, (how pathetic am I? Don't answer that!), but with time, love, a 13 step program, and heavy heroin use I was able to overcome my Karp bashing addiction. Sorta. This thread notwithstanding.....
.... .... .... ..... God I just need a hit! Let em read him saying something asinine! I'll quit after one ridiculous column I swear... (carried away clawing at my eyes)
