and so is every other night after this one for my hapless New York Rangers - if they can't beat Boston at home tonight, you can confirm those early April Tee Times because they will be done - stick a freaking pitchfork in them........and yes, I'm even going to go to the game - I'm not sure why

That Kovalev trade really worked out.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- 2002 NFL Champions... feels good, doesn't it?

Good win for the Rangers, too bad that as always other teams have waaay too many games in hand..
Its the same freakin' deal every year. "Rangers are only 4 points out of the playoffs" Yeah, but with 3 teams in between them and that final spot who all have 4 more games to play it doesn't matter much
I wonder though if Messier is going to pass Gordie Howe this season..12 points to go i believe?
The crowd was into it last night and the 2 SHG's sure helped - been a while since we had seen that happen - Messier still gets the ice time so he's got a good shot - Lindros is still way too tentative but Kov looks great - as for the trade - like I said in another thread, it was a good trade done too late

The Rangers are the biggest disappointment in the NHL. Period. They spend more money for less than any other team in the league. They will not make the playoffs this year. Too many other teams with three or four games in hand within two or three points of them. Guaranteed, they will not make the playoffs again this year.
Whereas the Red Wings will make the playoffs out west and proceed to make every penny count, once again winning the Cup. Nothing else matters.

Way to go out on a limb with that "No Playoff" prediction - Boston looks to be folding - and I will be the first to admit that the only real chance the NYR have is if they pull even or ahead of the B's and then make the B's make their extra 4 games count
