This is really strange with 18 games left to go and the Magic still in contention in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year, even if they are stumbling right now.
But was it the 6 game losing streak that got him fired or the wrath of Steve Francis still upset by the Mobley trade?...Even when we had a good run going earlier this year, a lot of people still wanted him fired. And then they went and did a poll in the Orlando Sentinel about two months ago asking what was the biggest problem with the team. Davis won it in a land slide. That's a pretty fickle fan base for a team that's in the playoff hunt only one year after having their worst season ever.
Magic players are very good at having their coaches fired, aren't they?

And the Magic's GM (Weisbrod?) seems very good at escaping the blame for the mess there. I mean, he was the one who made all the trades to get the players.
Jesus, I could have sworn that was at Medgar Evers. I remember Richie Parker and company getting the LIU gym rocking in the late '90s with that huge scoring team and their NCAA Tourney run in '99(?). Who did we see at Medgar Evers? The Globetrotters?
