As predicted, Riley got his man. According to ESPN, the Clips refused to match the offer sheet made by the Heat. Riles has been after this guy since before he was drafted. The Heat might have a nasty team if all of the pieces fit and Brian Grant remembers that he's getting paid to play basketball.

Can't help but feel good for Odom...now if only my boys Brand and Maggette could find a way out of LA. I'm starting to think that they're facing some kind of divine retribution for leaving Duke early.

Yes, things are looking up for my Heat. Don't bash Brian Grant though, as he has been one of the best players on the team the past couple years, probably #2 to Caron Butler. He averaged a double-double last year and did as good a job as someone 6'9" playing center can do. What the Heat really need is a 6'10" or taller center who can play.... and our other free agent signing, Samaki Walker, is definitely NOT the answer.
Yo, it's me, it's me, it's (points to self) P-A-B!
That's the crazy thing, the Raptors might actually get a bit of a "Ewing theory" bounce without Gay, who's one of the more overrated players in the NBA.
