Okay, so evidently no one wanted to talk about last week's show, but to preserve our Cal Ripken-like streak here with NXT recaps, I wanted to throw up some quick hits.
Enzo, Cass, and American Alpha beat Blake, Murphy, Dash, and Dawson in a pretty fun 8-man tag. If you like any of these guys, check it out.
There were a couple of solid squashes - Asuka beat Deonna by KO, and P10 got a surprise win over A-Ri, who we are reminded, continues to work here.
Eva Marie cut literally the only good promo she's ever done. It was a pre-tape, and whoever was working with her on that isn't being paid nearly enough.
Finally, Zayn/Joe was phenomenal, right up until it ended in a double pin, which was not phenomenal (although Drake's pantomiming dealing with Zayn and Joe, and then his later telling off Regal, was once again phenomenal). Great, great match with an awful finish, and now we know that they need to mug for time before the big WM weekend Takeover show.
Finish aside, a good show. I'll have a much more comprehensive recap of this week's show up on Friday.
