Z can we have a Switch icon and/or a Nintendo icon plz/thx
===
Launch date: March 3, 2017 in Japan, US, Canada, major European countries, and Hong Kong
Suggested retail price $299.99 "in North America" so probably more in Canada (EDIT: $399.99 in Canada)
Online services: - online gaming, duh - interacts with your smart device so you can use that to set up gaming with friends, get notifications, etc. - free trial after launch; becoming a paid service in the fall
No region locking on Switch software (omg)
now we SWITCH lololol to some other guy; take a drink every time they "switch" to someone else and you'd be dead
Switch has elements of all past Nintendo systems: analog controllers, touch screen, portability, motion controls, etc.
Now we watch a video that shows all the modes, all the stuff from that first video: TV Mode - play games on TV Tabletop mode - stand the system up with its kickstand and use the Joycons (the little detachable controller things) Handheld mode - attach the Joycons to the system and take it anywhere, or pass a Joycon to a friend for multiplayer gaming
Battery life: - 2.5 to 6.5 hours, varying by game - you can play while charging the system - AC adapter and USB-certified batteries available
Connect up to 8 systems for wireless multiplayer
More Joycon stuff: - Joycons have an NFC reader built in for amiibo stuff - The Joycons also have a capture button for taking screenshots and, eventually, video - Joycons have independent motion controls so you can do two-handed motion controls - The Joycons are full-featured controllers - They have Wii Remote-style wrist straps - You can get them in Neon Red and Neon Blue or in gray - The right Joycon has a motion IR camera for "unique new control styles" - The Joycon can convey the feeling of ice cubes colliding a cup. "HD Rumble" - new advance tactile feedback
New games: - Cowboys staring each other down. This better be Wild Gunman HD - wtf am i watching here - okay it's called 1-2-Switch and it's some kind of quick-draw game and mayyyyyyyybe it's not the first game I'd lead off a system launch with - you don't look at a screen, you look into the eyes of your opponent - this is to be fun for parties and an icebreaker for all kinds of communication - uhhhhhhhh - this is a launch title - this will be in the discount bin by May
Okay another game: - possibly a fighting game between a schoolgirl and a businessman, both with long springy arms and boxing gloves - I assumed I was wrong but no that's where we're at right now - So far this looks like Wii Sports Boxing meets Ready 2 Rumble and I mean that in a positive way - it is called ARMS - this looks kinda fun actually - two of the characters are Spring Man and Ribbon Girl - "Oh. Spring Man won." this translator is not convincing me of his enthusiasm - coming this spring (notably not mentioned as a launch title) - oh shit I just noticed coming this SPRING boioioioioing
HECK YEAH SPLATOON 2 - MAYBE LEAD WITH SPLATOON 2 AND NOT YOUR QUICKDRAW GAME MAYBE - New weapons, new stages, and guns that let you rocket into the sky - Summer 2017
MARIO - he's in a human city? looks neat - now in a more cartoony environment - he has a hat-throwing attack - and is riding a gargoyle-loking thing? why not i guess - it is SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY - what the fuck his hat is ALIVE?! - "a large Mario sandbox world" - Mario has jumped out of the Mushroom Kingdom - so is this a NEW hat or was his hat always alive - coming Holiday 2017
I can't help but notice I've seen one launch title and it looks dumb af
SOME ANIME THING - looks neat, don't care - yeah yeah clouds and a spike hair MFer with a big sword - it is XENOBLADE 2
OKAY IS THIS A NEW SWORD GAME OR MORE OF THE LAST THING - there are five jewels in a shield thing - and we're back to the sword - okay now I think the dude said that was a brief clip of FIRE EMBLEM WARRIORS
80 games in development - Dragon Quest X and Dragon Quest XI coming to Japan - Dragon Quest Heroes I & II also coming - remember when you got Dragon Warrior for free if you subscribed to Nintendo Power? that was awesome - teaser for Project Octopath Traveler by Square Enix - trailer for a new game in the Shin Megami Tensei series - a guy from Sega is excited to make games. - Skyrim coming to Switch - Suda51 yelled and got no reaction. "That didn't go well." Unsure if the translator was translating or editorializing - they keep switching between translators and this one is having a particularly rough day - Suda51 is making a game with Travis Touchdown "heavily influenced by pro wrestling" - FIFA is coming, maybe other EA games? I kinda zoned out. - They're showing clips of games, I saw a Lego dude and an NBA 2K18 logo and brief clips of like Mario Kart and stuff and some older games
Switch configurations: - System has the console, left and right Joycons w/straps, Joycon grip, Switch dock, HDMI cable, and AC adapter - One model has grey Joycons, one has red and blue ugly Joycons, but are otherwise the same - Pro controller available separately
ZELDA: - Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild confirmed as a launch title

Sorry I am late in responding to this, but I was in the store today looking at this and then read this thread. So, James, what makes this worth my $20? Why should I part with my money for this arcade game? Convince me!
