Nintendo announced that the NX (still just a codename for now) will be launching in March 2017 alongside the new open-world Zelda game. It's reminiscent of the Wii launch when the new "Gamecube" Zelda game wound up coming out for both the Gamecube and the Wii.
The fact that they aren't showing the NX at E3 either has to be a complete lie or this is going to be the fasted launch-to-debut of anything yet. Although that's fitting since with the PS4K and the XBox 1.5 we're basically flying through this console generation. That said, for whatever gimmick the NX will have, I don't see how they avoid teasing it at E3 when talking about Zelda, since Nintendo does like to integrate their games with their hardware.
Animal Crossing on my smartphone sounds like a bad idea I should never ever play because I am an adult and I have things to do and I have a real mortgage and I don't need a second mortgage and oh man I wonder how weedy my town is that I haven't checked in AGES and oh dear I worry everyone must be dead from the weeds. BAD IDEA!!!!

That is a wholly accurate description of Animal Crossing.

The reviews on the new Star Fox were all very not happy with the game. I really liked the N64 game and was excited to try it out until I started reading about it.
I'll be there, mostly just because I'm one of those Nintendo guys who will always like the Nintendo systems the best and get the system at launch.
The Wii U was mishandled for sure, but there was some good in it. It was a solid little system with some great games. They should have handled the virtual console better, among other things, but it was fun. Well, until mine died a few months ago.
I'm okay with a delayed Zelda. Twilight Princess was my first Wii game, which I bought at launch after waiting hours, and it's one of my favorite games. I hope Nintendo has realized they really need to bring it with this system.
With Vanilla Sky's comments about choices in the Madden (The W) thread, I thought I'd mention some pretty cool news I heard yesterday. Apparently, EA Sports is making a baseball game next year, just not a MLB one, since they lost that license.
