Since it is televised on OLN this year, I figured a couple of dubs may watch it (at least the 1st round until their team picks). But the problem is, how good is the player your team took. Well courtesy of the St. Louis Blues web site, you can now look them up in their draft day media guide. http://www.stlouisblues.com/draft_06/mediaguide_06draft.pdf
Lisa: Poor predicatble Bart, always picks rock Bart: Good ole rock, nothing beats that
You guys totally want to take Staal (he's like Eric, only his brother!). "EJ," more like Ernie Johnson.
Actually I'd be intrigued even if the Pens missed out on Eric and drafted Kessel (despite all this busta bust backlash against him) so he could score 150 goals on Crosby or Malkin's wing. But I want Johnson because I want to hit for the prospect cycle.

I thought the line from most Pens fans is that we wanted Backstrom?
I don't know what most Pens fans want, but my "board" goes
1. trading Jordan Staal for Jack Johnson, although I feel lame acknowledging the rumor 2. Eric Johnson 3. Phil Kessel 4. faith in whoever Shero decides on
Once I get past organizational need (a #1 D or talented winger) I won't pretend to know how to rate the other three forwards or determine whether or not they can move to wing.
You've pegged it perfect, IMO. GOTTA get someone who can play a little defense.
As for offense, go back to the old days where you look under a rock for a guy, stick him on the No. 1 line and watch him score 100 points because of the guy(s) he's playing with.
I'm glad that with the draft over, I can finally get a fucking break from hockey for a few months. June 25th is way, way, too late to be talking hockey.
"You know what the fellow said: In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." --- Harry Lime (Orson Welles) in The Third Man
The Rangers with their first pick took a kid from my old high school archrival. I will never cheer for him. I will take a used bag of practice pucks and left-handed KOHO for him right now.
