I've seen a lot of survivor and fantasy leagues on here but haven't seen a Point Spread league formed yet... Is there one up for here? If not I created one.
Yahoo Fantasy sports - Pro Pick'em - Join Group

There's not much time before the first game on Thursday but I did set up to allow picks before 5 minutes of each game so if you don't read this before Thursday you can still join and start playing on Sunday and just be one game behind. But the league and picks do start for Thursday's game.
smark/net attack wienerville advisory is raised to ORANGE alert - High (Benoit lost the title to some punk kid named Orton, lets look at the positive at least it's a heel not named HHH who has the title, which allows two fresh faces battling for the World title.. whaat? excuse me? what happened on Raw! well scratch that... Over to Smackdown we wave at Justin Bradshaws title reign, I think I'm getting sea sick)- 8/22
I'm in! We should remind anybody who wants to join that they have to go through to the Pick Em section of the Fantasy Football in order to get in this group.
I messed up the first time, but then I retraced my steps and got through. So all two of you who are in the league so far, LOOK OUT :0P
(edited by Torchslasher on 7.9.04 2308) Joe Wilson (looking at Interocitor manual)- Hey, here's something my wife could use in the house... Crow T. Robot- A man? Joe Wilson- An interocitor incorporating an electron sorter. Cal Meechum- Oh, she'd probably gain 20 pounds while it did all the work for her. Tom Servo- Cal, you bitch!
I'm in - that makes 2 survivor leagues, 3 point spread leagues, 1 non-point spread league, 1 salary cap league, 2 regular FF leagues and a season long 100 square pool
there is still tomorrow......
Folk singers are always liberal pansies, but not me.....I sing for my fellow conservatives...care to hear "Shoot the Hippie out of the Redwood Tree" ?
Originally posted by ZeruelI've never done a PS league, but I was the first to join after the post.
We want to pick the team that covers the spread, right? I think I can get a handle on this.
You have the gist of it. The toughest thing about these usually are picking underdogs each week. On paper, the favorites will usually look better, but you have to show restraint. Although this week, I'm picking only a few underdogs.
Of course I don't know why I'm telling you anything. I'm so mind-numbingly mediocore in PS leagues usually.

Sweet! Thanks for creating this. I'm in a college PS pick'em too so the CellaDwellas will compliment that one nicely. :)
PSU 1-0 (0-0 Big Ten) Should you feel happy or embarrassed when your team tops previous season's stats in one game? "You rock, Rolfski. You are one hep cat." "Ya, ya, sock it to me."
We are all LOSERS, LOOOOOOOOOOOSERS!!! As the spread was 3 for the Pats and the final score was Pats by 3. we all left with no points.

Does that mean that we all get points for it, or that there is no spread and we are choosing the winner with no regard to points? The yahoo site was not helpful and I couldn't google it.
While this is too late to help, OFF means they've decided to not allow gambling on the game in which ever Vegas casino Yahoo gets its odds. (In this case, they probably did it because of the schedule move.)
Point spread leagues seem to always treat it as a pick 'em (0 point spread) game. If you've got the winner, you win.

As a Colts fan, I'd love to see Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, and Tony Dungy get in, and I imagine that at least Edge and Marvin eventually will. Favre is an obvious shoo-in.
