This hasn't been covered by the sheets (at least, not that I've noticed). TNA has already been offered a two-hour timeslot by Spike TV.
So why is Impact still just one hour, you ask? Well, according to a TNA wrestler I personally interviewed last week, TNA is waiting for their ratings to go up so they can negotiate a better deal than was offered.
Lately, I've found TNA hard to watch at times. But count me as one of the viewers who thinks the product would improve with a two-hour slot. My issue right now is that they're cramming too much into the one hour, which hurts the end product.
I don't think they're cramming too much into one hour because of the timeslot. They're cramming too much in one hour because that's Vince Russo's style. They could give Russo five hours a night and he'd still try to fill it with two-minute matches and one skit after another.
I can see why they think two hours might not be a good move until they can see some ratings movement, but Russo is the bigger problem.
Yeah we all know about Russo and his booking style by now and I'll be honest I don't think a second hour will help as much as it did before Russo because Russo is still going to book some crap. However getting a second hour is still going to help to some extent. Getting more people on television is always a good thing. The more people that are on the air the more possibilities of someone different getting over and getting a chance to shine.
More television time also means satisifying more people. Guys like Killings, Sabin, and Monty (when he was there) disappeared for huge chunks of time when TNA started signing guys like Christian, the Dudleys, and Angle. I'm sure at some point those guys probably felt it was unfair that they had spent so much time in the company and got pushed aside for someone else, regardless of whether the guys that came in were huge stars. So two hours can go a long way to satisify some guys who may think they're not getting the time they deserve.
But yeah if they want to take a really big step forward they need someone who can book the two hours properly.

It was in the 12/25 Observer. Says it's inevitable that it will happen, Spike wants a muliyear commitment but TNA wants more money out of the deal and think they will be able to build the ratings up to 1.4 and then get a higher offer.

I stand corrected. Makes sense that someone had written about it, just surprised it's not more significant news.
I prefer to think of it as insinuating that you and Dave have the same source! We demand to know who the mole is. It's SoCal Val, isn't it. We should've known all along,

It is shared parking, but there is enough to go around. Of course you are going to pay more, because all the people with lots around the stadium are going to jack up the price.
