Comedians who think they are ready to become a Not Ready for Prime-Time Player will have a shot at landing a spot in the Saturday Night Live cast in a new talent-search reality show NBC is developing.
Network execs are mum on details of exactly how the search will work, but the contest is being developed to premiere next summer, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Smells like a NBC version of American Idol or re-tooled Last Comic Standing. I'm gonna pass unless they have someone I've seen before from Comedy Central on it.
And now, for a limited time only, it rhymes with "door hinge!"
Honestly I have little to no no interest in seeing the people who auditioned who are LESS funny than the Finesse Mitchells of the world. If I think of it in those terms, it's a dealbreaker.
