I like the new coyote logo, but the colours seem so...generic. Like a Carolina Hurricanes jersey that got wet. They've really lost that Southwestern style which made their look so unique.
Of course, this new change allows me to once again mention one of my favourite sites: NHL Uniforms.
My first impression is that they remind me of the old "CCCP" uniforms the old Soviet teams wore.
We're 0-1, but the Huskies are still winning the Pac-10, and even if we don't at least we don't look like a bunch of frickin' yellow idiots like Oregon.
I love them apart from the logo. It's too detailed, much how minor-league teams go for that overcomplicated, cartoony style. Ah well. The colours and stripes look great.
A better logo would have been a red (or white, for the road unis) silhouette of a coyote's head, without all the detail.
I miss the old uni's. They were awesome in their complete wackiness. And they were nowhere near as bad as several other teams have had in the past (on the ugly scale, not wackiness).

Agreed.
You have to understand the southwest to understand that the logo relects indian art. This is just bland.
I like the change a lot. The jerseys are much more classic-looking (especially the away lace-up jersey - oh wait, I guess that's the home jersey now, since home/away colours are swapped for every team starting this year), and the howling dog, while not super-amazing, is leaps and bounds ahead of the Post Modern Picasso Desert Dog they've been using.
Wow. That is quite a bit toned down, almost to the point of retro, but it's still very nice.
Weren't the players complaining about the old jerseys having issues with the neckline being too restratining or something like that? At least when they first moved from Winnipeg?
Actually, I still like the Jets jersey better than either of the Coyotes ones now that I think about it. I think I still have one too...
They should've just done a total remake of the Johnny Cash-voiced coyote from the Simpsons.

If some little snotty anarchist with an Apple Mac and an attitude thinks he invented dance music and the big rock group is coming into his territory, [that's] ridiculous." - Bono, 1997
So, how many teams are using red and black this season?
Buffalo New Jersey Ottawa Carolina Chicago Calgary Phoenix
Great. It's a good thing the uni designers in the NHL are so creative. Damn, I wish the Sabres had never made the change to the most generic color scheme in the NHL and I really wish Golisano would hurry up and change them back.
How many years have they been in Phoenix, anyway? Do they really need a new uni now? They're ought to be a minimum you have to use your first uniform for. Besides, I liked the old unis. As others have said, they certainly reflected their locale.
Are white uniforms going to be used on the road just for this season, or permanently? I remember them switching for, like, half a season a few years ago.
They have been in Phoenix for 8-9 years now. They are going for the new uniforms now because they are moving into their new arena in December, so they are taking on a "new identity" (maybe this means they will get past the 1st round of the playoffs).
From what I understand, all teams will wear white on the road this season....
Ehhh. They went generic -- too generic. The coyote head itself isn't bad, but does the color scheme have to be so plain? Right off the top of my head, I can think of a canine-themed minor league jersey that's far superior.
Of course, REALLY cool jerseys say "Moncton" on them.

Well I think only 1 #8 seed has ever made the finals, and that was 2006 Edmonton. Who did ride their amazing goalie to the finals, so I guess thats what Montreal will need to. I said it was an easy path, a 8 seed is technically easy.
