Happy Birthday, Lise! And Happy Groundhog Day! This week we have - for YOU - a single page of listings for 188 new DVDs, 51 new Blu-ray and one UMD AND if you look REALLY carefully, you might even see a new VHS videocassette in here. (No, REALLY.)
Everything's out Tuesday 2/2 unless otherwise noted.
You know the routine - hover over a title for the price, keeping in mind that they're always cheapest when you pre-order and go up after the release date. Clicking on the additional links provided (IMDb icons, movie website icons, tv.com icons and other links) will give you more information than you'll possibly need, when it's available.
Mill Creek has picked these up from....whoever had them last (and must have gone bankrupt - ah yes, that would be BCI/Navarre) - they're all mighty fine if you're a fan at all of these old shows. I own many of them already myself! (Now, having recommended these new copies, I should let you know that used - heck even new/wrapped, VERY cheap BCI/Navarre leftovers are still quite plentiful on Amazon if you poke around a bit. I'm talkin' four to six bucks, people! Don't tell me hours of old game shows aren't worth $4!)
TV OF THE WEEK
Zane's Sex Chronicles (Cinemax, 2008) I suppose I should have put this in the "smut" section - if we have one this week - oh well
TV MOVIE OF THE WEEK Freedom Road (NBC, 1979) Muhammad Ali, Kris Kristofferson - aired in two parts ('cause it's LONG) and I believe it's Ali's first acting role - well, SCRIPTED acting role
New York, I Love You (France/USA, 2009) Anthology film has TWENTY-SIX NAMES ON THE BOX. That may be a record. Astonishingly, I will forego the obvious attempt at linkbait by giving you NONE of them! New York, I Love You [Blu-ray]
O Amor Natural (Netherlands, 1996) A study in Brazilian poetry and sexuality - I think you can read between the lines on that one - a little more info at Icarus (icarusfilms.com) O Amor Natural Same as above? Black White & Gray (Black White + Gray: A Portrait of Sam Wagstaff and Robert Mapplethorpe - USA/Germany, 2007)
Chelsea On the Rocks (2008) Well....get past the recreations and it's mostly documentary
Stoned (Unrated) (UK, 2005) Stoned (Conservative Art) (Unrated) Seriously, if you compare the covers between this one and the one above it - and you have to look real close - that's a funny definition of "conservative" Stoned Now THIS is a conservative cover! And, go figure, this is the not unrated, R rated one.
Cannibal Suburbia (Australia, 2008) Forgive this old codger (and/or American), but I've never heard of "Donkey Punch Disco" (as himself) The Capitalist (The Capitalist - 2008) The Capitali$t Same as above, harder to search on?
RELEASE OF MYSTERY OF THE WEEK Valentines Day 2010 Margin Booster I don't know what it is, but at that price I bet the margin IS a booster - MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM OF THE WEEK
And finally... EVER THOUGHT ABOUT JOINING THE PRIESTHOOD? THERE'S A DVD FOR THAT The Priestly Vocation More info at Paraclete Press (paracletepress.com) (2/4)
That's all for now, but we'll be back later with a few updates!

You know, I always look at these threads. I WANT to buy things through Amazon to give you guys the pennies it would give you on referrals. There are maybe four or five things there that I would watch. But I just don't buy DVDs anymore. I rent through Netflix or sometimes watch a movie online.
Also, I don't get any pricing info when I hover over the titles.
I've been buying my mom Doctor Who sets in chunks whenever they go on sale. I got her Series 3, 4, and The Next Doctor for Christmas. Immediately after that, I saw they were doing a set of the specials. Oh well, not too bad if I'm only double dipping on one. (I don't have any of them yet, myself, but I'll probably spring for the Blu-ray.)

You probably have AdBlock in place. If so, putting in an exception for "http://www.assoc-amazon.com/s/link-enhancer*" should work.
It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects. Football is a cruel, cruel mistress.
Uhm thanks for the early wishes. The GI JOE looks fun, but I'm in the strange position of trying to figure out what I have on DVD and VHS (Yeah, yeah I should have realized they'd eventually make it to DVD) and what is new. I also imagine they might put together one big giant box set eventually with goodies.

Shout Factory already has. It came out around the same time as the first of their partial season sets. (They did the same with the Transformers, too.)

I bet Altman's Short Cuts had more names on the box.

That is a bet you would lose (The W at Amazon)! But it's close.

A really underrated show with a brilliant cast. After Yemana, Dietrich was my favorite character. Here's Dietrich's first episode http://www.hulu.com/watch/47959/barney-miller-fish#x-0,vepisode,1,0 but here's Steve Landesberg's first appearance http:
