This idea just popped into my head that I think could be a good way to get Chuck Palumbo back on TV in an interesting role (not that anyone really is clamoring for a Palumbo return or anything, but....). Ever since Billy got injured, Chuck has been in limbo on Velocity not really going anywhere. He has no character anymore, ever since the "gay" wedding and all that. My idea is, Chuck finally realizes this. We have a little backstage segment one week with Chuck complaining how his popularity and TV time has dropped off ever since the gay wedding and when he "came out" that he wasn't gay. Since then, he was taken off Smackdown and has hardly been heard from. Just then, a lightbulb seems to go off in Chuck's head and he wanders off camera. Next week, Chuck shows up and is FLAMING. He's completely overacting the gay thing, pretending he's gay again just so he'll get attention. EVERYbody knows he's not gay and is just doing it for attention, but he does it anyway. He basically turns into Adrian Adonis/Lanny Poffo 2003 with the pink tights and makeup and flowing scarves, skipping around the ring, etc. I think that would be a pretty fun gimmick, and the fact that Chuck can't really act and it would be terrible would be even more fun. Imagine Tazz and Cole ripping into him. How that would translate into a feud, I really don't know, but I think it would be a fun gimmick.

That would be rather amusing, but I think Chuck is still too vanilla to be accepted by the fans in just about any form. He has a great look, he could be a great worker... I think about a year in OVW could really do it for him. Let Cornette develop him, he seems very much like someone that would benefit from a tag partner and manager like Corny in the old Midnight Express kinda vein. He still needs to find his own identity as well, he relies far too much on his Scott Hall moveset...

I'm a big Palumbo mark, and I'd love to see him back on SD in some kind of role, but I don't think that's the best way to go.

Never thought I'd say this, but it's too bad Billy Gunn got hurt.

Dave: Oh, I know what you mean. I've been to Canada.

Actually, this sounds pretty amusing, and fairly creative. At least it would give him something so he's not so "vanilla" as stated earlier, even if he is still in jobberland.

Plus, "Chuck Palumbo - Drag Queen" just gives me such a funny mental image...

Then again, look at Hogan and his boas. *shudder* Better yet, don't.

Hey, dye his hair black, make him wear stockings and Palumbo could come out to "I'm just a sweet tranvestite..."

"Alright, now I'd like to show you one of my favorite cartoons. It's a sad, depressing story about a pathetic coyote who spends every waking moment of his life in the futile pursuit of a sadistic roadrunner, who mocks him and laughs at him as he is repeatedly crushed and maimed. I hope you enjoy it!"

I don't know, guys. I'm always against any angle that exposes the business. I hate the idea of someone's motivation being "lack of TV time."

I think they should put Chuck back with either Shawn Stasiak or Shawn O'Haire. He had a good thing going with both of those guys. By the way...what happened to Mark Jindark?

Stasiak's been released, O'Haire's going on Raw and Jindrak is either injured or in OVW.

Palumbo could be put with someone, but I think that he needs some time in OVW of his own.

Now can u dig that

If Chyna wasn't essentially black balled she might have gotten some of help she needed. Her imprint wasn't much smaller than some who constantly get help and was certainly bigger than a lot of others who do as well.
