-30 Rock returns mid-season.

-This will be Chuck’s final season. At this point it’s a 13-episode order.

Here’s a rundown of the new shows (and links to preview videos):

The Playboy Club (nbc.com)
60’s drama about life inside this Bunny ranch.

Up All Night (nbc.com)
New parents Christina Applegate and Will Arnett struggle to give up their carefree lifestyles and become responsible adults. A baby’ll do that to ya.

Free Agents (nbc.com)
Co-workers Hank Azaria and Kathryn Hahn, both recently single, deal with the awkward consequences of a drunken one night stand.

Whitney (nbc.com)
Multi-cam relationship comedy from and starring Whitney Cummings. Nope.

Prime Suspect (nbc.com)
Police drama based on the British TV drama of the same name. With Maria Bello.

Grimm (nbc.com)
A homicide detective deals with the supernatural creatures of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, which are, in fact, really real. We got this and ABC's Once Upon A Time. Interesting.

The Firm (nbc.com)
Based on Grisham’s book and the movie.

Smash (nbc.com)
It’s a musical drama about creating a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. With Debra Messing, Anjelica Huston, Katharine McPhee. Steven Spielberg is executive producer. To be paired with The Voice mid-season.

Awake (nbc.com)
A detective finds himself seemingly living in two parallel realities after he, his wife and his son are involved in a car accident: one in which his wife survives and his son dies, vice versa in the other. Ooh. But I already figured it out: he died, while his wife and son survived.

Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea (nbc.com)
The life and times of Chelsea Handler on the small screen, with Laura Prepon and a studio audience. Please.

BFF (nbc.com)
Recently divorced girl wants to move in again with her BFF…and her boyfriend.

Bent (nbc.com)
Opposites attract-type rom com starring Amanda Peet, Perfect Couple’s David Walton and Jeffrey Tambor.

There was also a recent effort to adapt Vertigo's Fables comic as a show.

This will be L&O:SVU's 12th season. Amazing.

Yet again, nothing NBC has interests me. It's like they aren't even trying anymore.

That ABC show is their way of doing Fables without having to give Warner Brothers or DC any money.

Good to hear that Chuck was renewed and that their calling it the final season now. I still need to catch up on this season but at least we know we won't have to worry about them as a bubble show again.

IMO, this season started off strong, was pretty cheesy in the middle, and is finishing REALLY strong. A 13-episode final season will keep it short of 100 total episodes, which is a shame cause this show ought to be syndicated.

I'm perfectly happy with the amount of NBC television I currently watch - Community, Parks and Rec, The Office, and 30 Rock (mid season). I'm just glad Parks and Rec is back in the fall and none of that shortened season/pushed until winter bullshit that happened this season is happening again.

I'm also perfectly happy not to have to add that hour of Wonder Woman to my TV watching schedule. I would like to see that abandoned pilot. I'm sure it'll pop up on the Internet eventually.

Incidentally, The Playboy Club will have nudity in the show, which makes more sense than a show about Playboy NOT having nudity. The International and DVD/Blu-ray versions of the show will not be edited for content, but you won't see bare boobies on NBC in the United States.

Actually, 88 is the magic number for off-network now.

If you're going to ComiCon, you'll probably find someone selling it on DVD.

Why not? ABC already went there with NYPD Blue, and it doesn't appear to have caused the world to end.

And there are plenty of shows kicking around with even less episodes than that if the owner of the show has a channel that needs to fill space. I just saw A Minute With Stan Hooper on my guide this weekend.

To that end, 30 Rock's midseason start isn't because of any lack of confidence from the network, it's because Tina Fey is pregnant and due I believe in September. (No, I'm not the father.)

NYPD Blue showed only male rear nudity, and the one time it showed an obscured female from behind, it ended in a court case that took 8 years to be settled (latimesblogs.latimes.com)

I too will be looking forward to the torrential rainstorm of Wonder Woman pilot leaks.

Having seen them filming the action scenes right around the corner from where I live, I have no want or need to see Wonder Woman. ...I already got my laughs.

*sniff* I didn't mind Outsourced.

Really happy that Parks and Rec is back in the fall. Looks like I will be sticking to those Thursday night comedies (I'll give WHITNEY a chance), and football and nothing else.

I liked Ousourced a lot and felt it was a nice ending to Thursday nights because it usually had 2-3 solid laughs and sent me to bed happy. Too bad. It was a decent show.

Community, Parks, and Office are back to back to back....this is awesome. I'll get my Thursday lineup out of the way in 90 minutes, not 3 hours, since I never watched the 30 mins between Community and Office, or 30 Rock to get to Outsourced.

I also am a bit disappointed in Outsourced not coming back, but I won't lose sleep over it.

And it's going to be without Christopher Meloni:

After 272 episodes of solving especially vexing murders, Detective Elliot Stabler and NBC couldn't crack the Case of the 13th Season Contract. And so after years of primetime glory, crime fighting and an Emmy nomination to boot, Christopher Meloni has left the Special Victims Unit.

TV Line reported on Tuesday night that Meloni has left the NBC hit "Law & Order: SVU," exiting after contract negotiations fell through between the star and network. Series creator Dick Wolf is already searching for a big name replacement -- unfortunately, CBS has already gobbled up Ashton Kutcher for a similar series-saving move -- the site reports, though the network chose not to comment.

The shock move comes hot on the heels of speculation about the future of the show's other star, Mariska Hargitay. Though she's under contract for the upcoming season, NBC president Bob Greenblatt admitted that, given her new child, she may not be back for a 14th. That has put producers in the position of having to reduce her role in the upcoming season, moving her to a supervisory role -- and potentially replacing her with former "Ghost Whisperer" star Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Is there even a point to bringing this show back if you can't have Benson and Stabler? Half of the reason that people kept coming back was because they were so attached to the characters, but that's pretty much out the window now. Worse yet, Benson's making a few appearances next season, so at least her story can be tied up. Stabler, on the other hand, is getting an unceremonious off-camera write-off. It's kind of a slap to the face to anyone that's followed these two characters for 12 years.

Admittedly, I haven't watched a single episode of SVU in 4 or 5 years, but I was bored with the two of them. They needed more Munch and Ice T. This being said, since this is the 'rape' show, can't they just say Stabler's kid got raped and he can't work in that atmosphere anymore. As for Benson, just have her get raped and she leaves too.

You see? This show writes itself.

EDIT: Wasn't the original, working title of this show Law & Order: Rape Cases or something like that?
