Theres an interview on WWE.com's front page with Kevin Nash. In it he talks about his relationships with Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan. It isn't very long. Last I checked Nash was still on th TNA website. Not a big WWE.com viewer but do they usually have features including former talent and competitions talent.I know about the interviews with recently talent. Has this been goin on long? Or is he really no longer involved with TNA. He is on the web site. oh well.

It was a so-so read. Basically kissed HBK and Hogan's ass and put over the fact that no one will lay down for the other so it will be an "interesting" finish to the match.

I'm pretty sure the world has come to a general consensus that Chinese Fire-drill is not an inherently racist term, but rather falls into the same category as Indian Giving.

I'd give Nash's opinion more consideration if he was anything approaching a good worker.

Yeah, he's reaaaally stretching it referring to Hogan/Michaels as "Shakespeare". It'll probably be a three- or four-star match, depending on how hard HBK works. Will it be Steamboat/Savage? No.

As far as I know, Nash and Hall were signed to a 13 date deal that ended when he did that PPV w/ Jarrett. WWE.com, in a recent attempt to try and compete with the "newz sites" are doing more exclusives, and usually do interviews with talent not active on TV, or signed to a contract. Nash was rumored to come in during this years Mania (he confirmed it on a recent Torch Talk) to intefere in the HHH-Batsita match but opted out of that. I wouldnt be surprised if they brought him back (shivver...) I just wonder why WWE isnt playing up the fact that the HBK/Hogan match is also historic for the fact that it's a battle between the leaders of the two most powerful factions of the last 10 years: THe NWO and DX.

The term is also used as a figure of speech to mean any ineffective and chaotic exercise. It comes from a British tendency around the time of World War I to use the adjective Chinese as a slur, implying "confused, disorganized, or inferior". [1] Today the expression may seem to have lost much of its insulting meaning and many people say it without realizing the offense it might cause to others.

"Chinese fire drill" seems to be one of the few (fortunately) of these phrases that have survived in popular usage. The earliest written citation for "Chinese fire drill" reported by the Random House Historical Dictionary of American Slang dates only to 1952, although William Safire is quoted as maintaining that it was commonly heard in Brooklyn just after World War I. As a former resident of Brooklyn, I can testify that Brooklynites are often decades ahead of the rest of the U.S. in the development and testing of insults. In any case, "Chinese fire drill," though today almost always used without malice, is indeed an insult to those of Chinese ancestry, and deserves to be permanently retired.

I've always thought "Chinese Firedrill" was the term for when you and buddies are stopped at a red light and everyone gets out of the car and switches positions before the light turns green.
I've never thought of it as racist anymore than Russian leg sweep, French kiss, or Canadian Bacon....it's just a name/expression.
Did Nash tear his quad on the way to the interview? (Sorry, just HAD to get that in)

Ditto. When I read that I thought of everybody in the ring bailing out of the ring, running around it a couple times and then hopping back in.
I know everyone has this reflexive hate for Nash, but let's give him the point that the 'young guys' in the back should sit and watch Hogan and Michaels perform. I'm pretty sure that while Nash isn't a great worker nor ever a top tier draw, that Hogan and Michaels could teach guys how to y'know make millions and become two of the biggest stars ever. There'd be a lot worse matches to sit and watch.

Nash has a few valid points. If the same points were said by Kurt Angle, they'd be no less or more meaningful. At least they shouldn't be.
And I hardly see the point in forming a small protest of the term "Chinese fire drill" on here or even to correct anyone. Unless you've already sent a letter to WWE addressed to Nash, then it would seem to me that raising a fuss here solves little other than distract from the wrestling discussion. Especially when it seems obvious that there were no racial overtones in what Nash said. Just my two cents.
So long as Nash is only commenting on other people's matches in WWE and not actually performing in his own, then I'm cool with him appearing on WWE.com every now and then.

I keep wondering if this is going to be one of those matches where the crowd is behind one guy (Hogan) at the beginning like they are supposed to be, but then, thanks to a horrible performance, they end up booing him and cheering the other guy. Think HHH vs. Steiner at the Rumble a while back. I don't know if D.C. is one of those too-cool-for-school towns that cheers who they aren't supposed to or not.
