Steve Nash will win his second straight NBA Most Valuable Player award, according to reports on several area newspapers. The announcement may not come for two weeks, according to the Arizona Republic. But the paper, and others, report that the voting shows Nash edging LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki, Chauncey Billups and Kobe Bryant for the MVP.
Nash had an even better year than last year, and more importantly carried a lesser team to nearly the same heights. And he's *Canadian* too!
I like Steve Nash as much as the next guy, and I'm not necessarily saying he doesn't deserve to be the MVP, but I can't help but think in twenty years seeing "Steve Nash, 2005-06 NBA MVP" is going to look a lot like "Terry Pendleton, 1991 NL MVP" does.
I'm shocked that Kobe or LeBron didn't win it.

I think nash deserved it more this year than last year. He kept the Suns afloat withthe loss of Amare and made role players into stars. Good choice, if it is correct information.
Well, that's just drunk talk! Sweet, beautiful drunk talk....
Like naming a WNBA team the Heifers isn't going to raise all hell. Not saying I don't agree with you, but I'd be surprised if it happened. Of course, it IS the WNBA, so it has a chance of slipping under the radar entirely.
