I wouldn't read too much hoopla into this; it's basically what they've been doing on and off for the last couple years anyway, similar to Wednesday night, and it's non-exclusive so the local teams will still have their broadcasts, unlike on Sundays when it's Disney-only.
The big news here is bad news: no more Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day telecasts. Phooey on them.
I remember a MMQB (I think) a couple of years ago when Kurt Warner said he didn't read any books unless they were geared toward making him a better Christian. Some folks are just hardcore that way.
