I admit that I laughed way too much during this... WAY too much.
I haven't watched MAD TV regularly in a ling while, but it seemed that almost the entire cast were from the show. Then I noticed that it was made by FOX and that made sense. They are probably making one of these parody films a year during while the show isn't filming. Giving the cast and extra paycheck.
This was the goofiest movie I've seen this year (so far). And it was the shortest as well. The actual movie was only about an hour long but then during the credits, they had 20 minutes of goofiness thrown in to pad the running time. Some of this stuff was the funniest stuff in the film.
I also couldn't help but laugh about Kevin Sorbo kissing Leonidas. The running gag here was that Spartan men greet women with a high five and men with a full on mouth kiss.
The guy playing Leonidas, Sean Maguire, was very funny and I'd like to see more of him... with out the fake beard.
The loudest laugh out of me was with a Dane Cook look-a-like getting kicked into the Pit Of Death and screaming out "This is a metaphor for my career!" then as he's falling down, he yells out "I'm really 42 years old!"
I know these movies are horrible, but at least I didn't go and see EPIC MOVIE or DATE MOVIE.
This was a terrible movie, and I'm embarrassed to have seen it...in a theater. I will admit though that Nicole Parker from MadTV was pretty good as Britney and AWESOME as Paula Abdul. The bit about characters named Sonio and Traitorio was also funny.
Other than a few laughs, most of the movie fell flat on its face. It was American Idol parody leading to Dancing With The Stars parody and finishing with Stomp The Yard parody. Not funny.
Avoid at all costs...at least until you can rent it cheap on DVD.
"Put on your helmets, we'll be reaching speeds of 3!" "It was nice of you to give that dead woman another chance." "All right, look alive everybody...oh sorry Susan."- MST3K: Space Mutiny Click Here (myspace.com)
At last, the Sado-Masochists of the W come out. You knew that Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4, Date Movie, and Epic Movie were bad. Yet, for some unholy reason, some have decided to go see Meet the Spartans. I can't speak on the movie itself, but i guess they keep making enough money to keep churning these things out. Can't wait till next year, when they parodize what's happening today.

Funny you mention this...
Superhero! (imdb.com) starring Leslie Nielson, Brent Spiner, and Jeffery Tambor... along with a bunch of young people I never heard of. The original title was... wait for it... SUPERHERO MOVIE from the people that gave us EPIC MOVIE and DATE MOVIE!
Pissed Mommy off - wouldn't take his Ritalin. 'Course, kid's a bit of a baby for 13, but not too bad. It's fun to see one of the older guys kind of push him along. Our favorite thing from the show already: Phantom Duker. Yes.
