He didn't play a down and he was a 3rd round pick. If I was a Denver fan I would be mad that you would waste it on something you didn't need and on someone who hasn't played in 2 and a half years.
Eh, the Broncos will be OK. Besides, this couldn't have happened to a better person.
Don't cry for Maurice Clarett, Argentina.

My Donkeys have made more dumb moves over the years - I hated this pick when it happened and I am glad that it is finally over. I don't know where Clarett will wind up but odds are he gets signed by the Raiders just to piss off Broncos fans everywhere even more.....

Couldn't have happened to a better person or a better team! :D

This didn't really hurt Denver, though. Clarett jacked his contract with incentives and took no signing bonus. I think the cap hit is minimal at best, possibly zero.

No harm to the Broncos here...
The harm to the Broncos is wasting a third round pick. Those are guys that are at worst expected to contribute on special teams. No signing bonus for Maurice? Well, hope he saved up the money he was paid at Ohio State. And, maybe he and Lawrence Phillips can organize pick-up football games across the country.
ANY draft pick is hit or miss, though...doesn't matter if he's a third-rounder, seventh-rounder or Ryan Leaf.
It was a risk/reward pick, and the Broncos minimized their risk. Clarett screwed himself out of the signing bonus, and the Broncos benefited from that.
I know that it's hit or miss but Denver still could use that pick on someone that helped them instead of another runningback. And I know that there wasn't much risk because Clarett didn't get a signing bonus but it's still a waste.
So, I'm watching the Vikes game Friday, and they bring in Brock for the last series of the game. Lesnar gets his first solo tackle of his NFL career with about 1:30 left to go in the game, and the friggin' Metrodome goes NUTS~!
