On this week's episode of The Simpsons, they aired a teaser trailer for the upcoming Simpsons movie!
As for the trailer, the beginning spoofed the Superman Returns trailer.
Let's hope that they put it online soon!

Aint It Cool News says that some showings of "Ice Age 2" have the teaser trailer on them.

I saw the teaser. My anniversary is July 27th and my wife is NOT a Simpsons fan. I turned to her and said "Well I guess we will be spending our anniversary in 07 at the theater". She gave me the look as if she was saying "not bloody likey".

I kinda figured that the movie was their big announcement although I thought it might have been something else, but my local FOX affiliate totally gave it away before the promo. They did one of their "Coming up on your local news" teasers and said "Buckle up if your a Simpson's fan cause Homer is coming to a theater near you!". Totally killing the excitement.

Are you in NYC? I get the NYC feed on my dish and they did the same thing.

Nah, I live in Virginia, but I get the Washington D.C. affiliate of FOX.
This would have been much more exciting about 10 years ago when the Simpsons was the absolute SHIT, but it has steadily gone downhill this decade. I still like it, and still watch the first 5 or 6 seasons on DVD, but it's not even close to that level anymore, sadly.

Looked fantastic, wonderful effects, phenomenal in 3-D. And yet, it has probably the most generic story possible, thus making it one of the least-interesting movies I've seen all year.
