I'll get the overall view out of the way: This may be the best golf game I have ever played.

The replay value is off the chart, as there are several modes to play. It has the original stroke, match and skins games. There is also a ring attack mode where you must make par or better on certain holes while getting your ball through Sonic-style rings. Trust me, it gets hard as Hell.

Prepare to log tons of one-player time, because that is how you unlock the tougher courses and the four locked characters. I have unlocked one character so far, and I have been playing non-stop since last week, so this is a tough and addictive game.

It is similar to the last Mario Golf game, but it isn't nearly as mathematical. The last game seemed to take some of the fun out of the experience, so I'm happy that this game is more enjoyable.

All in all, if you are a fan of golf games, run don't walk and buy the game. If this isn't your thing per se, I would still recommend a rental of this title. You might get hooked. (Now I'm off to the tough Bowser's Championship course!)

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.

I was really excited to play this and rented it right after it came out at Blockbuster. I was surprised to see that so many of the courses were of the standard, boring, Hot Shots variety. When I finally did unlock the first Mario game themed course, I was kinda disappointed with the whole warp pipe system, most likely because I suck, kept coming short of the pipes, and wasted more than a few strokes trying to get out from behind them. I didn't play it enough to unlock much, but the way it worked on the "get a birdie on every hole of the par 3 course" was pretty cool. Petey Piranha is pimpin'.

I picked this up this last Saturday and I've played it a few times. I really like it - I just wish that they had made it a little more Mario Party esque in some ways.

This is almost a good enough golf game to get my wife interested. That takes a hell of a golf game to get that far, trust me.

I'm still addicted to Advanced Wars 2 though.

Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.

Hot Shots Golf had a great formula and it was nice to see it carry over to the Mario Golf franchise a few years ago. Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour was another good addition to the GC library and is good for what it is, but I was just disappoint that I couldn't immediately go straight to the gimmicky courses with Warp Pipes and Chain Chomps. I was pretty disappointed since that's what was initially HYPED!

You mean those commercials where the guy throws a porkchop into the sand trap?

P.S. If you look close enough (and slice your ball badly enough), there are Pikmin hidden in this game ... Anyone else find them yet?

Well, I enjoy the fact that there is replay value and a reason to win the tournaments (that is how you unlock the courses). While I constantly get annoyed by some of the tough games (hitting through the damn rings; picking up coins while par-ing all the holes), it all adds up to a game I will be playing for quite a while before getting bored.

I just now need to find out how to unlock the other two characters I'm missing (I'm not asking for spoilers). It also helps that my roommate and I are very evenly matched on this game (as in scores in the -9 to -13 range on the two easy courses...I friggin hate the sand course).

Most used CD (and some used game) stores have a machine thingy that will fix scratched discs and will often do yours for a small fee (I remember it being around a buck a disc).
