I don't see anything wrong with how they are starting this angle. I guess we all expected people to start showing up instead of the nWo name coming first. I don't have a problem with it the way they went about it. We just have to see what they do next.

Maybe I'm nuts for being thrown by this, of all things, but...Vince has an nWo chair?
Great, so 'they' haven't been on TV and already Shopzone can do their 'as seen on Smackdown' thing to sell us our nWo chairs?! So what is it..did he have a chair or did he mention the nWo?

Yeah, I didn't think about that. That does make no sense at all. That would mean Vince would have got a nWo sticker from WCW.com back in the day and put it on the chair, and start talking to himself. But it will get people watching Monday. I still don't know if it will work. It will be surreal, I will mark out, but I am not sure how good this will be for the WWF long term. We'll see.

he owns wcw and the nWo... so doesnt he own the merchandise too?.... i'm sure he has a few nWo chairs or stickers... anyway ... i kinda like it... throw the name around... let people know it's coming... just have the coming be at a surprise time.....
I AM THE BEST there is, was and ever will be!!!! Dont you wish that you were me??? no?.... i've got two words for ya!
I don't think it's really that hard to write the letters "nWo" on a chair. I don't think it said he had the specific logo on the chair. And if it is the logo, I wouldn't imagine that it'd be to hard to find an nWo logo and scan it onto the back of a chair or something.
And revealing that Vince is bringing the nWo back now would get people hyped for the upcoming shows. If they think the nWo is gonna be there, they will watch. Like when Eric Bischoff said he was gonna fight Vince at Slamboree a couple of years back.
Hasn't there been some rumor about Bischoff coming back to lead the nWo? I don't think anything's ever been confirmed, nor do I think he would do it, but it has been thrown around in the last few months.
I think they did a good job with it. It shows Vince has lost it and sets up the question of which NWO stars are coming back. Even though the smart fans know and probably the rest of the wrestling community know as well since this is a big story. It is going to be hard to build suspense for more than a week or two and keep it interesting. What will be interesting is what stars will be in the NWO? If Shawn returns and is special guest re at WM, then HHH will probably turn heel at WM and join the NWO. Since its going to be tough to make Jericho a heel in his own country at the biggest event of the year. A returning X-Pac will get a push because of it and I'm sure one or two WWF stars will join their ranks as well. I just hope Vince will learn the lesson WCW did and end this thing in six months.
I really didn't mind Invasion's time frame since how long can you due an Invasion angle without it getting old? Three months is a good run, but since I know the people involved, I'm sure they'll milk it twice as long as they should. The bonus side of all this is that if HHH does turn, then Jericho's Canadan Horsemen stable will get minor push since they are the only threat to them. Plus, Benoit will be back and I'm sure he'll have interesting things to say about this. It will be interesting to see how the lone wolfs such as Austin, Rock, Angle and RVD deal with this? There is a lot of good storyline possablities, but there also a large measure of risk involved.
A Fan- I just hope the WWF puts up a better fight than WCW did the first time NWO invaded.
The problem with too many lone wolves is that when you do something like Invasion or DX, you throw these guys together and makes no sense they work better than the faction. I like the Canadian Horsemen leading the charge since they are the only semi-stable the WWF has. They need to build a WWF faction lead by the Rock or Austin or Benoit with RVD, Edge and APA. It would good to give RVD and Edge the push and APA is seen as lockerroom leaders since Invasion, so it would make sense. They also match well against the Outsiders and will hopefully work stiff with them.

Vince said in the Torch a month or so back that he did call Eric to get him to lead Invasion when it was going downhill. Eric declined because of short notice and plans he had with his family (it isn't like he needs the money). So it's a possibility Eric B. could come in.

Just for the record, Smackdown is currently the more popular show of the two, both in opinion and number of people watching the show.
I've always had a hard time coming to terms with that. Im a RAW guy myself and only catch the Smackdowns when I can.
Bringing Bischoff in wouldn't be a bad move at all. He's a character that could really get some talent over if paired with them. He would have a lot of heat backstage.
Why the F- does Vince have to be the leader of the NWO, how long Until Shane comes back to help Flair fend off the NWO InVaision? So that we can have Vince vs. Shane as the focal point of the WWF again. Maybe Im jumping the gun a bit but the point remains, once again we are stuck with Vince as the center of attention. and thats not a good thing thats a what thing.
Who said Vince was the leader of the NWO? From what we know, he is bringing in them to destroy the entire WWF. Including his part of it. That is why he said he will regret it. I totally think you are jumping the gun.

What I can see happening is Vince leading the nWo to destroy the fed. That will ensure he remains on tv as a focal point as always and maybe more important, it can help him keep the nWo's ego's in check. If Vince does his usual 20 minute promos Nash won't have time to be the cool heel, Hogan cannot ramble on, etc.
What I also see happening is Ric Flair saying this is the greatest company ever and he knows how to battle these men..WOOOOH....*He flashes a certain sign...4 fingers*
That way you can have a nice decent feud with two small factions, without it involving the title or anything.

I feel the same way...Vince will most likely be doing most of the talking. Sorry, no 20 minute Old Baldy and Big Poochie diatribes for you!!!! I can't wait to see how this causes the split. Ideas, anyone??? So, for know, we get nWo vs WWF. I do feel the titles will be involved, how else can the nWo look dominant, wrestling-wise? Expect to see spray painted belts soon... I like the four horsemen idea, of coures on the nWo side, it will be very easy to recreate Degeneration X (Welcome to 1998!) of course, the smaller faction thing won't happen if the angle last, and with the way that this has happpened so quickly (too quickly, for me), a equal knee-jerk finishing it may very well happen...
The bonus side of all this is that if HHH does turn, then Jericho's Canadan Horsemen stable will get minor push since they are the only threat to them.
Wait... are you SERIOUS? Imagine, if you will, the matchups. To begin with, we don't really know if Test is even still involved with this, but if he is, then yeah, he and Nash could conceivably cancel each other out. I'm guessing since you mentioned HHH turning that he'd be going after Jericho. That's fine.
So... Christian & Storm get Hall & Hogan, huh?
BAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh yeah, that'll TOTALLY happen.
Rock or Austin fighting the NWO alone would be given more respect and credibility from the WWF than the Canadians as a whole ever would. Add Edge and Venis (and Trish, but who cares...) if you want, still no different.
I think we won't see the Canadians Club go after the NWO. Unless the Mountie joins them (isn't he the last man to get a clean fair pin on Hogan without ANY interference surrounding it?)
No, if we would get an invaders vs posse to stop them thing (again) I'd throw some WCW guys against them. Booker (cos he knows how much they suck) would be a cool leader.
