Well ...

A good episode.

- Locke was in the coffin. My guess is he gets back to the island and he is back alive. Why was he off the island though? Just to see Walt? Because he really wasn't 'the chosen one'? Is Jack?

- I figured Mr Eko for a better chess player.

- There wasn't much of a mad dash to get on the chopper when the boat was about to explode. If I was an extra I would have run to it. Instead of settling for diving overboard.

- Who is left on the island? Sawyer, Juliete, Rose, Benard and the others?

- Mr Shepard releases Michael from his duties. Is Jacob just taking his form or is he Jacob?

- I can't see Jin being dead.

I'm sure I'm missing some stuff

Will if Jin didn't die (I'm guessing he didn't either) then I imagine he swims back to the island.

Miles and Charlotte are still on the island. Faraday and the raft never got to the freighter did they? Did they return to the island before it moved? If Faraday didn't get back to the island maybe he'll help the O6 return.

Even though everyone assumes she is dead we don't have a definite answer on Claire, and even if we do have a definite answer the O6 don't and think she might still be there.

In present time Locke is still on the island or are you counting him as an "Other" now.

But how would he have had time to swim back before the island moved? That said I still think he's alive somewhere.

Glad to see the Desmond and Penny reunion.

Locke told Jack that terrible things happened after they left. They've piqued my interest to know what sort of horrible things. Kudos writers.

Also, Ben continues to be the star of the show. But the whole mystical light moving the island? Possible shark jumping point?

Just an awesome episode. I have literally no idea what the show is going to look like next season. Will we continue to see what happens on the Island, while in the future, the O6 try to get back to it?

Why the deuce couldn't Penny and Desmond have taken Aaron with them on the boat?

“How is it that I am a good actor? What I do is I... pretend to be the person I’m portraying. You’re confused. Case in point: in Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson comes to me and says ‘I would like you to be Gandalf the Wizard,’ and I said ‘You are aware that I am not really a wizard?’ and Peter Jackson said ‘I would like you to use your acting skills to portray a wizard for the duration of the show.’ So I said ‘Okay’ and then I said to myself ‘Mmm.. How do I do that?’ And this is what I did: I imagined that I was a wizard, and then I pretended, and acted, in that way on the stage. How did I know what to say? The words were written down for me in a script. How did I know where to stand? People told me where to stand." -- Sir Ian McKellen, Extras

They got me good with Locke being in the casket, the big lie being Jack's idea, and Penny being the rescuer. Some thoughts about what could come next that are occuring to me before bed...

I can see Faraday and the extras on his raft fishing a "thrown clear of the blast" Jin out of the water.

Sun's apparent heel turn probably means Ben and Sayid already got to her, and she's setting Widmore up.

Locke will probably be "alive" again when they get back to the island, and he probably left it because it had to be moved again.

Great season.

Good point about Jin not getting back to the island in time. I thought about that for Faraday but not Jin, but I guess Jin would actually be further from the island and moving slower.

Here's my question though. Ben said they ALL have to go back or the island won't let them. Does this mean just the Oceanic 6. Or does it include Jin (if he's alive) and Desmond too?

They got me with Locke in the casket and Penny saving the day too. When I saw that Desmond was on the helicopter but wasn't one of the O6 I was worried maybe he'd be in the casket. Not sure why Kate wouldn't want to go to Desmond's funeral but I was still worried about it.

Also I'm starting to think that Christian isn't Jacob but just Christian and is representing Jacob. After all the Claire ghost comes and tells Kate not to take Aaron back to the island. Why would the Claire ghost do that unless it was in some way still Claire?

Good episode, although not as "cliff-hangery" as last season's finale.

I do have to say that I'm a little annoyed with Lost's cutesy name-games. As soon as they mentioned "Jeremy Bentham" one of the people I was watching it with said, "Oh, Jeremy Bentham. He's an English philosopher, just like John Locke." So they kind of gave it away if you know anything about English philosophers. (Normally, of course, I do not.)

I think he ment that Jack, Kate, arron,Sun, her baby, Sayid, Hurrly, Desmen, and lock have to be together to get back.

Good luck on that Jack i don't see how he will get them to agree with that.

Great show last night but of course I have questions:

If Ben had to blow a hole through the device to get at the area where you can move the island, how did he know so much about it?

I mean unless they rebuld that machine so you have to blow it open every time you want to move the island, it had never been done before. But he knew exactly what to do and how to do it and what the result would be.

Also, he's still playing Locke, isn't he? I imagine there is a way for him to get back to the island, possibly by using Jack and the rest to do so. Locke's always been a pawn in Ben's plans and I have to think that's still the case in some way.

Why would terrible things happen on the island after Jack left? If it can't be found anymore since it was moved, then you've just got a few Losties, and the Others right?

Why does Claire, who was happy hanging in Jacobs cabin, tell Kate not to bring Aaron back but Ben says he must come? You would think Jacob had Claire appear to say that, but "the island" won't let them back without him so ...

This makes less sense when you type it out. I'll just stop thinking and keep enjoying the show.

I'm never usually good at predicting what's going to happen on "Lost" (for example, I didn't catch the "flash-forward" at the end of last season 'til the very last scene), but somehow, I figured it would be Locke in the casket. How he got there...that's another story.

My four favorite characters are Faraday, Lapidus (loved his reaction at the chopper when he saw Keamy and his men coming back as he was trying to get un-cuffed), Locke and Desmond. I was happy Desmond got a touching send-off, and Lapidus survived as well. Locke's awesomeness transcends the grave, so him being dead isn't crushing. But talk about bad luck for Daniel...."gee, I think I'll float out to the freighter with these people....oops, the freighter just blew up in the distance. Well, we can always go back to the island...oops, where'd the island go?"

Maybe I just get off on supposed leaders stumbling when they get a chance. Jeff Hardy goes off on a meth binge. Jim Halpert can't lead a hot dog stand. And last night, Ben Linus had to practically drag John Locke around into his leadership role. No John, I told you the magic box was a metaphor. The door is behind the anthuriums John. The ANTHURIUMS John! I had to stab the guy because otherwise he would've shot me and then I couldn't move the goddamn island. Ok, John? Hey buddy, why don't you go sit down and watch a movie while the grown-up saves us.

All of those could be pretty easily explained tho.

The island could have moved once before, before Dharma got there, and Alpert or one of the others could have told Ben how they did it and what Dharma built over it.

Terrible things probably happened because, as Super Shane Spear alluded to above, Locke is kind of a terrible leader, I wouldn't be surprised if he accidentally sets the smoke monster loose on everyone by the end of day two. Also let's not forget there's still two wild cards in Miles and Charlotte wandering around. And if things have gone all pear shaped on the island, of course Claire would tell Kate not to bring Aaron. Thats probably why it was a dream and not a "hallucination" the way it's been for everyone else- Claire went off the reservation to do it.

Or it's just a dream, and Claire was their cute way of demonstrating Kate's subconscious desire to stay the hell away from the island.

Philosophical Rose > Sassy Rose

I wonder if “Jeremy Bentham” became paralyzed when he left the island.

Now that we know how the O6 left, what was the reason that Hurley told Jack in the season premiere that he should *not* have gone with Locke?

I hope Ben managed to take a passport with him when he left New Otherton, otherwise his globe-trotting will be pretty difficult.

I find it strange that the two guys that Sayid assassinated (dude in parked car and Avellino on the golf course) did not immediately recognize Sayid as an O6.

I wonder if the “purple sky” caused by the Swan failsafe plays any role in how the Orchid operates.

I still maintain that there is SOMETHING up with the geographical discrepancies of the plane crash, and that Jack saying “South Pacific” at Kate’s trial was not some simple writer’s slip-up.

I assume that Ben has safe houses around the world, likely stocked similarly to his hideaway on the island.

Interesting, during the hour recap before the finale, how they added in Boone, Charlie, and Libby into the list of who initially survived the crash during the press conference. If there was any other added footage into the recap, I didn't catch it.

I still can't wrap my mind around why....whatever it is....appears to people as Christian Shephard. Locke didn't know him from shinola (although Claire was right there, so that's ok), and Michael didn't either. That said, was he telling Michael, basically, that he'd done his duty and can die now (since he couldn't die before)?

Charlotte has been on the island before? I thought she said something about never being able to find where she's been born. Could she have been born on the island (not conceived, I guess)?

That Miles character. He makes my brain want to explode. "What *DO* I mean?" That line nearly sent me into hysterics. I think I'm going to start using that line when people ask me what I mean by something.

I'm starting to think he knows more and/or is more significant than being a mere ghost whisperer. Did his line to Charlotte about getting "back" to the island mean he knew she was born on the island? And judging by his actions and comments to Daniel he seemed to know the freighter was about to explode. That goes way beyond his "powers" that we've already seen.

How 'bout that Keamy-Sayyid fight?! Pretty sweet, and until he finally died by Ben's hands I was starting to think he might be Mikhail v2.0.

Wow, the guy who played Michael is kind of a bitch...

http://www.tvguide.com/news/lost-harold-perrineau/080530-03

TV Guide: Did you know Michael was being killed off when you returned?
Harold Perrineau: I had no idea. It's like, what the hell? I came back for that?

TV Guide: You're laughing as you say that, but you don't sound particularly pleased.
Perrineau: I'm disappointed, mostly because I wanted Michael and Walt to have a happy ending. I was hoping Michael would get it together and actually want to be a father to his kid and try to figure out a way to get back [home]. But this is [the producers'] story. If I were writing it, I would write it differently.

TV Guide:: So when did you get the news?
Perrineau: [Lindelof and fellow executive producer Carlton Cuse] called before the finale scripts were out. They said they weren't going to continue with Michael.

TV Guide:: And what did you say to that?
Perrineau: At this point, I've been on the island, off the island, back on the island — so I just went, "Oh, ok." [Laughs] This is their show and they know what they can or cannot write. I thought it was disappointing and a waste to come back, only to get beat up a few times and then killed. I felt like it was sort of pandering to some fans who wanted to see Michael punished because he betrayed people.

TV Guide: Are you referring to when he shot and killed Ana Lucia and Libby in Season 2?
Perrineau: Exactly. I honestly feel like Michael's death served a really weird bloodlust for the fans.

TV Guide: Were you disappointed Michael and Walt didn't reconnect before your character died?
Perrineau: Listen, if I'm being really candid, there are all these questions about how they respond to black people on the show. Sayid gets to meet Nadia again, and Desmond and Penny hook up again, but a little black boy and his father hooking up, that wasn't interesting? Instead, Walt just winds up being another fatherless child. It plays into a really big, weird stereotype and, being a black person myself, that wasn't so interesting. (Responds Cuse: "We pride ourselves on having a very racially diverse cast. It's painful when any actor's storyline ends on the show. Harold is a fantastic actor whose presence added enormously to Lost.")

Really dude? You're playing the race card over a character arc (a traitor dies redeeming himself) that's as old as the hills?
