HONOLULU (AP) - Another actor on the hit TV series "Lost" was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Thursday by Honolulu police - the fourth actor on the ABC series to run into trouble with the law while filming in Hawaii......
Michelle Rodriguez (ana lucia) and Cynthia Watros (libby) and Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje (mr Eko) have all gotten DUIs and thereafter jobbed out of the show. Is Jin next?
I can't help but think all those DUIs are a Hanso Foundation puzzle that the LOST creators are doing to promote the show. Some sort of meta-storyline where their real life effects their characters' lives.
Apparently half the Lost cast have been arrested for some kind of driving violation or another since the show first started shooting in 2004, so I wouldn't say this immediately puts Kim into the death pool. Still, it's pretty disappointing that Kim (who by all reports is a stand-up guy) would do something so irresponsible and stupid.

Given that Michelle Rodriguez is currently on the way to jail since her DUI violated her parole, she's taking it to an Andy Kaufman-esque level.

Anybody know if Hawaii's drunk driving laws are extra strict or something? Seems strange to me that so many of these guys are getting into trouble. Or maybe they're being targeted by police?? Or maybe they really are all just that dumb.
As for Michelle Rodriguez, was it her LOST-related (for lack of a better descriptor) DUI that got her canned? Because I was under the impression that it was a later DUI that did her in. Maybe I was just confused because it wasn't until very recently that she was sentenced and the LOST-related DUI occurred quite some time back.
We're both wrong, StingArmy. Apparently her Lost DUI was a violation of one probation and it netted her jail time, community service and some kind of alcohol treatment program. Her jail time was commuted, but since she still hadn't completed these programs by last month, this resulted in her current incarceration.
Frankly, I've always felt the Lost producers' excuses of the DUIs playing no role in Rodriguez and Watros' early exits from the show were bogus. The one-year contract thing sounds plausible for Rodriguez, but I find it hard to believe that they'd kill off Cynthia Watros given the amount of mystery that still surrounded her character. Since her new show flopped, I'm hoping Libby will show up in someone's flashback in the next few seasons so we can get her story answered.
I'm intrigued by idea of multiple flashbacks. Seeing her in the pasts of Hurley and Desmond seem like natural choices....perhaps Ben and Juliet as well, to really mess with our heads? Or, for a real mindbender, have her appear in flash-forwards??
Man, three posts alone in this thread. I'm clearly going through Lost-withdrawal issues.

This episode had a couple cheap laughs, but the story was all over the place. I didn't really care for it, and I haven't found many 30 Rock episodes to be too engrossing this season. I agree with Justin, it did feel like a series finale.
