No, there's NOT gonna be a live action episode or movie. Over 'across the pond', SKY ONE paid for a live action copy of the opening 'credits' for The Simpsons, and it is to be shown as a special treat for it's 17th season.
Damn, why didn't WE think of it first, WE created the damn show and now the brits are one upping us with the coolest thing having to do with the show in (at least...) three seasons.
Well, anyway, watch and enjoy. They got it PERFECT!
Having Marge on the UK side of the car is just wrong. Also, Bart stops writing on the chalkboard too soon. And there should be more of the supporting characters visible, although there are a few when Bart is skateboarding (Love the Bleeding Gums!).
Other than that, certainly cute, but not all that special. Still, maybe they should use the couch sequence as a couch gag on the real show.
Cool. They should use that over here--or at least stick it on a DVD. Maybe a live-action version of the show is what it needs after this many seasons. There is just nothing left for these characters to do anymore.

Phyllis' talking head about how Michael needs a lot of therapy because he's stupid takes the podium of Phyllis segments, right behind "We both have big personalities" and "Probably my jugs."
