I was at a screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World tonight and Edgar Wright, Michael Cera, Anna Kendrick, and Jason Schwartzman were in attendance for a post-movie Q&A.
The last question of the night was about the Arrested Development movie. Cera, visibly displeased, said that the movie will come out "in about a year." Take that with a grain of salt, but it was an interesting answer.
The reason I think a movie has to be made is not just because of how good it could be but because they owe us one to pay off the last line of the series as the ultimate call-forward instead of just a sad idle tease.

You get the feeling that Cera is sick of answering the questions about an AD movie by this point, especially since he's the one member of the cast whose film career has really taken off?
I think it would suck for the Carver to be someone like Kimber who is so small... never mind the fact people have been raped stomach up which means they would have seen any kind of strap on if that was used...
