What a game...gotta be one of the best of the season so far. Kudos to the Senators for shitting the bed again, and showing why even after three years of good hockey, they still don't have the mental makeup to be true Cup contenders. Heck, they lost to the LEAFS, who don't have that mental game either.

I love seeing the Sens fall to the Leafs. I have some friends in Ottawa, and their inferiority complex as it pertains to Toronto is astounding. In the end, all thta matters is that Leafs fans fill their rink. Sens fans can't even be bothered.

Shitting the bed? They were shitting there pants....due to the FLU. Typical Leaf fans.
Take a look at the highlights, and look at the Sens bench. Count them....at one point there were 6 players on the bench...the rest were in the back pukin'.
No excuse to blow a 4 goal lead, but nothing a Leaf fan can be proud off. Beating a line up....destroyed by the flu, with seven regulars out of the line up..Hell even CAROLINA could have beaten the Sens last night..
When the Leafs had half their team injured for the 7-1 loss to Ottawa last month, all I heard was "Ha ha, we beat you 7-1, you suck!" from Sens fans. Turnabout is fair play.
Besides, I don't care if your team has mad cow disease....if you're up 4-0 in hockey, you don't lose.

I'm sure we've all gone through that strain of the flu when we're sprinting to the toilet for it to exit either end of our body...if you haven't, I certainly don't wish it on you. And I actually felt bad for the Senators.
I think the toll the flu took on the team had a whole lot to do with the comeback by the Leafs. Also, the Sens tend to have the Leafs on the brain, so once a goal or two was scored, there seemed to be a feeling of inevitability that the game would at least be tied. That being said, though, Lalime did let in at least two crappy goals when he should have been stepping it up a bit more.
I was more impressed with the Leaf victory 5-1 last weekend.
Also, the injury suffered by Hossa was scary-seeing him sprawl down the ice with a trail of blood streaming from his face. Good thing it wasn't too serious. I wonder if he thought about Bryan Berard that night.
This game reminded me of a ProLine sports lottery commercial, the bad thing is I picked Ottawa to win and the other two teams on my ticket won. So I lost $35 because of this game.
Before all the Ottawa sympathy the Leafs were playing without their #1 Goalie Belfour, Nieuwendyk and Mogilny. Add to that Owen Nolan was playing with the flu as well.

In the great Leafs-Sens debate, we shouldn't ignore that Boston has overtaken Ottawa and are on quite a run right now. There's a good chance that first in the Northeast Division won't be in Ontario after all is said and done.
And it certainly seems like confidence has been lost in Lalime, both from his teammates and himself. I'm sure Kolzig is available, if not others. Prusek seems to have the right stuff, though.
