I was reading Scherer's Raw thoughts yesterday and he mentioned once or twice about Lawler causing some sort of ruckus backstage Monday night after his match with Booker. He never mentioned what was going on. I've checked a couple of news sites and the Raw threads here and at DVDVR to see if anyone has mentioned it. I got nuthin'. Has anyone else heard about this?
We weren't aware of anything from the audience. Although he did look pretty cranky/scowlish coming back to the announce position -- not what you'd expect after a win, & particularly with it being an actual "entrance" with his music playing. (Note also that he didn't come back til after that long Cryme Tyme segment.)
On Cryme Tyme selling the jobbers boots taking so long: "My guess it was done to fill time due to the problems that they had with the show or maybe they needed to stall for time for Jerry Lawler to get himself back together to return to the announce booth."
That quote doesn't really imply anything. It just sounds like Lawler needed time to get himself cleaned up and presentable to go back out and announce the rest of the show.

I realize reading just that line alnoe you could take it that way, but how would just that explain his headline and first paragraph:
"LOOKING AT A "BACKSTAGE CHAOS MAKES FOR A ROUGH NIGHT" EDITION OF RAW by Dave Scherer @ 1:57:33 PM on 7/31/2007
As I said on my hotline earlier today, there is a reason why I wait until the day after to post my Raw thoughts here on the site. Sometimes it's just unfair to post them right after the show ends because a lot of things could have happened behind the scenes that we haven't heard about yet that could affect the quality of the show. As I also stated on my hotline, last evening was certainly one of those nights. So, with that in mind I will take it easy on WWE and creative this week since they had a lot more on their plate to deal with than I knew about as I watched the show last night."

I would take that as meaning the numerous re-writes they had to do to write Lashley off TV and to cover for Jeff Hardy's injury/no-show/suspension (delete where appropriate). Both are/were pretty major parts of the show lately.

Maybe it is just me, but even reading both of those items, it looks like it takes a pretty big leap in logic to reach the conclusion that there was any incident involving Lawler. Besides, backstage incidents are a big part of what these websites live for. I would have to believe that if something did happen involving Lawler, they would just come right out and report what that was, not make you solve a riddle to figure it out. I believe you may reading a little too much between the lines.
