Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports (sportsillustrated.cnn.com) that the Skins and the Jets are having discussions about a straight up swap of WR's. Coles was a favorite of Chad when he was here in NYC while Moss, after what looked like it could be a breakout year in 2003, has been somewhat of a disappointment and never been one of Chad's main targets. Not sure what Skins fans would think but I think that Jets fans would welcome Coles back and not exactly miss Santana Moss.
Golf is harder than Baseball. In Golf you have to play your foul balls.
I don't see what the Redskins would need Santana Moss for. I understand that they want to move Coles off their payroll, but a big part of Moss' contributions come as a punt returner, which the 'Skins already have in Chad Morton. Hard to imagine they couldn't get someone who would help them more.
For the Jets, this is a good move. Coles has two 1200+ yard seasons in the last three years, and nearly put up another 1000 last year in the dreadful Brunell/Ramsey offense. He is a #1 wide receiver, something I don't think Santana Moss would ever be. Salary cap issues aside, good move for the Jets.
Edit: ESPN.com is now reporting (Saturday, 11:30 PM) that the talks appear all but dead.

And that coming from a Bear fan. Drink up, the end is near! :-) Why do I think this is spf trying to break out the whammy he used on the Cubs in the past post-season on the Packers?
