The San Antonio Spurs have signed former Portland forward LaMarcus Aldridge to a 4-year, $80 million max deal that rates as an A+ deal for the Spurs.

It comes as Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili have mentioned their willingness to take pay cuts to leave the Spurs' core intact.

Good for them!

Spurs man, Spurs. They're going to be able to keep Mills too. Plus they're getting a guard from Sacramento so replace Joseph. They're also landing David West who took a ELEVEN MILLION DOLLAR PAY CUT TO SIGN THERE.

They basically traded Splitter for Aldridge. And their new center is arguably one of the top ten players of all time (minimum).

Spurs man. Spurs.

The management will happily unload contracts for cash consideration - in fact, we've been trying to get one of the blog services to pick up Grimis for MONTHS ;-)
