My girlfriend and I had passes to the premiere last night and Knocked Up had something for everyone.

At its core, the movie is essentially a chick flick. Still, there's enough hijinks, cursing, and boobies to keep every guy interested. The film is a bit raunchier than The 40-Year-Old Virgin, which fits in with my style. My gut was sore a couple of hours after the film ended, I was laughing so much. Seth Rogan's stoner roommates/friends stole every scene they were in, and Paul Rudd was fantastic as a beaten-down husband.

My only complaint: Katherine Heigl has a FANTASTIC rack, but you can't appreciate it fully as she is always wearing a bra during sex.

Lots of cussing and drug use in this film, so don't take the kids, but definitely good for some belly laughs.

I saw it, man, it was pretty good. What I really liked is that all the characters acted like real people might, and even when there's a conflict, neither side is really villified. Which is great!

You should see this movie.

For a Rom/Com that clocked in at over two hours, it didn't drag all that much at all.

I also felt myself thinking "Damn, that's SO true!" for most of the whole film.

Paul Rudd was the scene stealer for me... I was like that during my first marriage... but without the children. Sometimes, you just gotta get the fuck away from the woman and do shit by yourself.

I saw this on Saturday, and I loved it as well. Judd Apatow can do no wrong in my mind (let's not count Fun With Dick And Jane), and this is another winner. Seth Rogen was really good in this, and of course all the Apatow guys were hilarious. I didn't feel the movie dragged either, and the dialogue ringed so true.

My favorite scenes were in the E! network offices with the two executives. I actually found that my friend and I were like the only ones in the theater to really laugh when the female executive would do that trailing off voice. I couldn't get enough of it, yet nobody else thought it was funny. Oh well. Great cameo by Steve Carell as well.

I would rate it right below 40YOV, but that was because that film had a bit more heart in it.

True or false? If so, how was he? I'm curious to see how he'd appear on a screen many years after his more renowned movie.

It's a larger role than just a cameo, but yes.

He looks exactly like Seth Rogen's dad would look!

That's the great Kristen Wiig, the best current SNLer.

This movie was excellent; I found it to have superior laughs and jokes to 40YOV.

Hence it being your first marriage, I would assume.

Not really, I was young and in love and she was a money grubbing cunt who saw me as a cash register to get her shit and sleep with my 'friends'.

I went to see this with a date, and we both thought it was very well done. Gena was impressed with the pacing of it, and I thought the writing was decent, too. Any comments on British Columbia got a big cheer from the crowd, as we're in the Vancouver area.

The only thing that felt out of place was

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Ben's "gangsta" themed message to the couple's doctor's answering machine when he was out of town
but I'm going to guess that's hormones and excitement speaking. During that moment, I was afraid that old Ben was back.

The stoner chick in Ben's old house was really, really cute, though.

About halfway through the film, I realized that Martin (the guy growing the beard) was Bill from Freaks and Geeks and said "holy shit" outloud and half the theater looked at me.

Really fucking great movie, though - probably trailing only Hot Fuzz for Best Comedy of 2007 thusfar.

Si.

I finally got around to seeing this last night and damn, did I laugh. It's cool to see Seth Rogen get a great lead like this, since he really impressed me in 40 Year Old Virgin. I think I just may love this movie more than 40 Year Old Virgin. Anyone who's been in a long term relationship can definitely appreciate the story and dialogue and relate.

Gotta love their choice of cast main, supporting, and cameos. Alan Tudyk and Kristen Wiig as the E! execs were hilarious, Harold Ramis totally IS Seth Rogen's dad, the Apatow regulars were awesome as always and I didn't even realize that was Joanna Kearns (of "Growing Pains" fame) who played Allison's mom until I saw the credits.

Judd Apatow's sorta like the Farrelly Brothers of the new generation as far as crude comedies with heart go...but better!

I'm a little behind in seeing the movies I want (also gotta see Ocean's Thirteen), but I saw this one tonight. Great movie, and like most, I'd compare it to 40YOV. They're almost companion films. As someone else said, the time just flew by in this movie.

Rogen was fantastic, and Heigl was good too. I liked the moments where you can say, "Hey, where have I seen him/her before?" and this one had a lot of them.

As for out of place- I agree on the Heigl/bra/sex thing, and I thought Ben's rants against Allison when she was really hormonal were kind of out of place, but it was needed to keep the story going. All in all though, great flick.

I just saw this! I'm slow.

Anyway, I thought it was all funny and stuff, if you liked 40-Year-Old Virgin you'll like it, same things everyone else is saying.

What I learned from this movie: women are AWFUL. Seriously, not only do they all have crotches that bust open with blood and goo and ooze and babies, but there was not one single likable female character in the whole movie. Except maybe

the baby
, because c'mon. But yeah. I mean, Paul Rudd was kind of a dick, but if you had to live with that woman, you would be too.

I thought Ben's roommates were awesome when they were actually being funny instead of just being high. Maybe I really need to start with the pot and/or mushrooms because drug scenes in movies are hardly ever tolerable, much less entertaining.

Every joke about the bearded guy was awesome.

Ryan the Temp has no business pretending to be a ladydoctor.

Holy crap Harold Ramis got fat.

The funniest part of the movie was this woman two rows in front of us who would do this wheezing laugh at everything. She made every joke way more hilarious and awesome.

He's actually lost some weight since his appearance in "As Good As It Gets".

You did miss Hef, he was in there early. They showed around the same time they were talking about the Marge Playboy issue. I actually don't remember seeing Sting though, so I guess *I* missed that.
