To say Jason Kidd is an unhappy camper is an understatement. In the second time in less than a week Kidd has sounded off about the Nets, and this time he has officially begun to boycott evening practice sessions being conducted by coach Lawrence Frank. Kidd is unable to participate while rehabilitating his left knee and questions why his availability during this time is warranted.
"It was no misunderstanding," Kidd said when asked why he had not attended evening sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. "I don't come at night - with permission or without permission. That's up to them if they want to fine me."
The 31-year-old Kidd said that neither he nor his agent, Jeff Schwartz, had been contacted by the Nets about a fine. The Nets held only one practice session Thursday. On Friday, they will resume their two-a-day workouts. -------------------------------------------
My biggest problem with things like this is that these athletes never get their come-uppances. I guess it happens in a business when you make millions, but if I decided to stop coming to work, I'd be out of work. Of course, my office doesn't fill with spectators who want to see me fold towels, tell track athletes they can't have new shoes, and play minesweeper, but it irks me. That's one reason I don't watch the NBA as much as I used to; it seems that it is filled with more guys like Kidd than ever before.

Kidd at least has a reason to be shitty. He stays on with the team when he could have gone to SA and they repay him by blowing the team up a season later. From his perspective, he still can't run so why waste his time turning up to watch other guys do pre season drills?

If things head south for the Nets this season, he'll probably end up getting traded to SA (or Dallas) by February anyway.

Although if a team like the Pacers can put together a package to send to New Jersey, look the fuck out...because all they need right now is a point guard and they can possibly make a run at a title.
But I wouldn't rule out the idea that the Lakers can't put together a package as long as can they can make Jersey accept Brian Grant as a part of the deal.
